Yeah, he was in the passenger seat as usual. Ljunberg came on for him with 15 minutes left (don't turn Tony Mowbray on us with the late substitutions Lenny, game was calling out for a change!)

I don't doubt the man has some talent, but for what we're paying him it's time he start making an impression on games. It was a nice flash at Rangers with the ball to Sammy.

Ledley's inability to impose himself in games is becoming a major concern.

He's obviously a good player nobody can deny that. If you make a conscious effort like i did tonight to watch him you notice he rarely gives the ball away and he's a good passer of the ball. He also tracks back and works reasonably hard.

He just fails to make any telling passes or get properly stuck in which is a massive worry. I hope (and i think Lenny hopes) that he comes good soon because we need a lift from somewhere.

The reason we dont notice him is because he rarely makes any major mistakes but also rarely does anything remarkably positive.

I saw him make a couple of good runs into the box. His passing was superb as usual.

Not difficult to pass the ball five yards sideways, he doesn't advance the play or anything, he picks up the ball from Kayal on the halfway line, plays a five yard ball unchallenged to McCourt, repeats this four maybe five times a game and contributes nothing whatsoever else. I'm sorry but for me that is not enough. This is Celtic he plays for now, not some * Welsh pub team, more is required or he needs to go.

Total passenger, he's doing a job that Marc Crosas does better ie just keeps the play ticking over. We need much more from our midfielders and Ledley deserves to be dropped.

Ki and Kayal for me would give Juarez another chance until Ki returns!:shamrock:

He did and yet again no one passes to him. Don't understand that. He get's into the positions yet we feel the need to pass back or along the box.
I agree that he can fail to stamp authority on to a game, but he doesn't make any mistakes. He keeps possession, tracks back, wins the ball and makes good runs into the box that don't get noticed due to other players inability to look up and lack vision.
I only have 2 problems with Ledley and they are, as stated before fails to get noticed, alhtough still doing alot of work, and can shy away from a tackle (barring the Hearts game).

Punt him and get brown in. Who else thinks it will be Kayal out on sat though?! Parker and Lennon love Ledley.

You seriously do not even notice him on the park. Kayal was slightly better I thought, he gets in an about other players, but I'd say it was Brown who made the biggest impact in midfield for the time he was on the pitch.

Might well be, Kayal was poor last night, gave the ball away countless times and I think I'd like to see him stay on his feet more often, he's got a habit of sliding in far to often!

Bit harsh me thinks, Kayal lost the ball a lot i thought and i did see Ledley make some runs no one else was bothed to, and covered for izzy late tracking back, he is a good player, this games scapegoat i presume:31:

aye, he made a couple of decent runs into the box, much more than what any of our wingers or striker did.

It took him half an hour to get a touch of the ball?
everyone needs to stop defending this imposter.
