Aiden McGeady is finished in England...we are his last resort and I'd take him for cheap wages

'I've just spoken to a fella with good connections at Celtic. He's heard we've spoken to Van Persie twice and we're looking to put together a package to bring him to Celtic..........'

Yes, you guessed it. From KDS.

I've heard we are leading the race to sign Robson Kanu

VAn Persie would have a laugh up here but I don't think so much in Europe where we need experience.

Do you not think Van Persie has plenty experience in Europe?

I've liked the look of him but they say it's very risky buying players from a tournament especially those who are on a free. The idea being they just raise their game for their country in a big tourney.

Mind you it all depends on the deal.

Get Joe Ledley back here! He might be a bit pricey though.

I think he had loads, I guess what I mean was on recent reports he's not been playing up to his usual standards, as if he's had a massive drop in form. HOpefully that could mean it's just the team he's playing for and we could get a bargain.

Yeah I thought that as well because he wasn't settled but looking at his stats he got 22 goals from 33 starts which is pretty decent as the Turkish league is a lot tougher than our own.

I'd guess BS on it anyway tbh.

Wow that is some record, what kinds of form did they expect from him :smiley-laughing002:

Messi and Ronaldo can't be far off those stats

He's on 150k a week. An epl team will offer him considerably higher wages than we can. Unless he was unhappy in turkey.and realised following the cash isn't always the best option.

I see the huns think he's the mystery striker lol.

im not so sure we need another striker. A CB, DM and an outside left.

Aye those wages even when dropped reasonably will be far outside out balance sheet.

No way are Rangers signing him unless this billionaire really is minted.

Wouldn't worry me none the less anyway.

An outside left is who I'm dying to see next.

All the talk I've saw for Van Persie was to go to West Ham.

Makes more sense, they've got the money and I imagine he loves London

West Ham rejected him by all accounts.

Wonder what his speed stats and general fitnall stats are like.

West Ham have seriously went up in the world or RVP has lost a lot of form. Didn't seem that long ago he was winning the EPL or maybe times just flies.

What about Crystal Palace? I'm trying to think of London teams.

We could offer him Europe (Fingers crossed) but I don't know if that was entice him at this stage in his career.

Celtic and Sevco couldn't even band together for Van Persie and share him. Not a hope.
