Dare I mention a certain Ian Andrews a former England u 21 international

 

I think he is decent tbh - would get us goals.

Wouldn't want him to be our new "star" signing though

A bit bizzare he's very similar to a scott McDonald and Gary hooper style player that will grab goals and given a run in Europe will produce IMO

He's also a free agent I think yes we are crying for a big signing but can't keep letting players like this and Russell etc slip away from us !

 

I would still take a punt on ciftci

 

These 3 attributes are overused in an attempt to big up a player. I really like the look of Simon Makienok, but I'll be realistic: he is supposed to be a target man, and in that role, his heading ability and height will benefit the team.

 

think there is some value to be taken from the free transfer market;

jimmy briand - winger/striker, formally of rennes and lyon, 29 years old and quite a bit of european experience
roland lamah – left winger, on loan at swansea last year, 26 years old belgian international, looked dangerous on occasion, a bit inconsistent but still young enough to improve considerably
jack collison – central mid, released by west ham after some bad injuries hampered his development, 25 years old, kept ledley out of wales team for a while when he was fit and in-form, always looked good when I saw him play
tomasz kuszcak – goalkeeper, left brighton at the end of the season, 32 years old so in his prime – im thinking more of a replacement for zaluska to fight with Gordon for number 1 spot

im not saying any of these players should come in as first team starters, but they would add some depth to our squad with them all being at least on par with some of our current squad. given ronny’s past experience with reviving wayward careers, I think some of these could definitely benefit from his management and surpass what they have done to date

move on some of the players that don’t seem to be able to step up or progress further, bring in the above player and that saves the transfer budget (if any!) for one or two marquee signings (a centre back and a forward maybe)

Celso Borges would be a great signing, I hope the club have an eye on him as we usually do with players in the Northern European leagues, noway someone like him should be playing for Charlton.

 

Pace doesn't get you anywhere against packed defenses of the SPFL. Without a bunker-buster, we'll be struggling. Pressing and pace work well against an open team.

 

Cannot for the life of me understand why we aren't in for Kramric. Banged in two again last night. Would only cost around 3 million.
