Of course. Not only that, but the board actually wants it too. As has already been pointed out on this thread, it,s GCC that's blocking it. These are elected officials, surely there must be something we (or, if not all of us, at least those fans that live in Glasgow) can do about it.

    Jesus. :87:

These guys are elected, though, and I'd say easily 20% of the electorate in Glasgow are Celtic fans. In fact, given that Rangers fans would benefit too, if they got on board, that's got to be nearly half the electorate. That's a lot of clout. If there were a campaign spearheaded by all 3 major Glasgow clubs to allow safe standing and it recieved the vocal backing of all their fans, I think the Council would have to back down.

It's hardly inspiring for other St Pauli fans or players to see their 'ultras' making banners about Celtic and the GB.

It's called solidarity. Something we seem to have lost along the way.

And the St. Pauli fans make more than enough noise and bring more than enough colour to support their team.

It may well be solidarity but that's not going to get St Pauli promoted is it??

As I said before must be uninspiring for players looking to fans for help and they see a banner about a club from another country.

I take it you never read the whole post.

You know, it's quite simple to support your team and do other things at the same time you know.

I wonder if Celtic players get disheartened when they look up and see you quaffing a burger or checking the scores on yer iphone...

you will find, ST PAULI fans follow celtic anyway and you will find many flags scarfs and tops being sold outside the ground on match days.

Did he say EVERY single supporter?

There's being objective, and then there's just being confrontational.

Yes, do you? and if you saw the GB with a banner supporting a 'bigger' club like Barcelona would you not find that annoying? and would you not think that it would affect our players?
