you mean hooligans are not a product of their environment and upbringing but behave this way because they don't have seats!

Trying to get rid of the Green Brigade is an action that could have an adverse affect on the team.

We need that atmosphere and the Green Brigade are the catalyst for it.

Well that's not my opinion, however that's the reason standing area's are non-existent for most cases.

..........correct and cramming 10000 fans in areas designed for 7000 and having scant regard for their safety which was the norm in the 80s!

Thats why the Taylor Report happened which lead to the decision to go all-seater, atmospheres in stadiums in the UK have gone rapidly downhill eve since, the more recent rise of health and safety culture and 100s of folk walking around stadiums in high viz vests has just made things even worse in terms of atmosphere!

For me this is the KEY point.

It's not about any political reason, or because I'm a "wannabe rebel" (like some strangely suggest) that I'm annoyed with this decision, it's because of all the excellent work the Green Brigade have done atmosphere wise, they're incredible displays and banners and above all their unrivaled support for our team first and foremost.

I believe the boards decision was absolutely extreme, and one they'll eventually regret in due course.

Exactly mate. I remember teams used to hate coming to Celtic Park because the fans just assaulted them with noise and colour and they were * scared to come here. Im sure thats why we had so many good results in europe at Celtic park. Because we had 12 men...

...who is going to be scared of us now??

I still don't understand how people are saying the rules are being imposed on us by UEFA etc. We seem to be the only club in EUROPE falling foul to these rules which alone suggests its the board acting alone hiding behind these rules.

Why aren't they being imposed on Sevco and Motherwell who both have sections who do the exact same as the GB in terms of lateral movement, crowd surfing? Why is Celtic being singled out, a question that keeps getting ignored or are you all expecting sections of stadiums to be closed down all over Europe in the next few months?

Closing the section is a bit extreme. Why couldn't they have just closed the section for 2/3 home games I'm sure that would have got the message around.

The board have been forced into nothing. If these rules are being enforced then why are the zombie and motherwell ultras groups not facing the same punishment?

Stop implying ignorance when you yourself have clearly not done your research. Lawwell has been caught out multiple times expressing bitter hatred towards the GB and anyone who does their damned hardest to back the team for 90 minutes. Exactly how can a CEO of a football club say the words "we will give them enough rope to hang themselves" about the clubs fans without having an agenda? Do you honestly believe the club has been "forced" to banish a group of its supporters? Give me a break.

Racist chanting? What's that got to do with the Green Brigade?

UEFA are forcing clubs to close parts of their stadiums for inappropriate behaviour. We havent been dealt with over the cliftonville game if you havent noticed. Racism, unsafe behaviour & fireworks all result in action from UEFA.

If standing is so unsafe inside Celtic park then why are stewards and police allowed to stand?

They are closing parts of the stadium due to things entirely unrelated to the GB.

I also believe it is widely acknowledged the fireworks in the Cliftonville game didn't come from the GB.

You think Celtic are going to do nothing and give UEFA reasons to issue sanctions when unsafe behaviour in section 111 and fireworks are going off? Section 111 is getting hit because most of the problems are occurring there. Do you think UEFA only issue sanctions for racist chanting? No, they dont!

Have you got any examples of UEFA shutting down sections for lateral movement?

Or better still, any evidence of any stand in the entire country that has previously had their safety certificate revoked. Complete scaremongering tactics in my opinion.
