We'll see. You could be right but I won't be accusing the board of anything until they've made their statement and I know all the details. The situation isn't clear from my point of view.

Honestly think the corporate types are * bent on ripping the heart and soul out of football supporters everywhere. We are now seeing fans being told you can't do this and that, Celtic board buying x-boxes to improve the match day experience apparently, I think this is just the start of the road Celtic are trying to take the club down. Only way to improve the match day experience for me is to improve the atmosphere but The Celtic Board are killing the atmosphere and seem more interested in pleasing other corporate types than actual fans.

tbh this might be a good thing. Over the last year or so there's been a steadily increasing tide of people realising that something has to change in modern football and in particular how fans are (mis)treated.

Whether it be the Arsenal fans moaning at how ridiculously expensive their tickets are, or whether it's Celtic fans getting battered by cops and banned from their stadium, people in Britain are finally starting to cotton on to what mainland Europeans have been shouting for years now.

Safe standing and lower ticket prices absolutely MUST happen now, across the board. Those corrupt * at UEFA and FIFA need to start taking a little bit out of their precious billions to enable fans to actually watch and enjoy football again.

like uefa, the organization that governs whether or not we can partake in the only truly exciting competition we try to partake in?

The board at every opportunity, used, abused and manipulated the support for their own ends?? Yes. Perhaps something like this is needed.

Given that there is not another home game until 24th August, there is plenty of time for this situation to be resolved and the Celtic Trust stands ready to offer any assistance that may be requested from our comrades in the Green Brigade. We are aware that very productive discussions took place recently and it would be in everyone's interest that these are resumed and brought to a satisfactory conclusion. We are dismayed that the situation has come to this given the division that this will sow between the club and the fans and we hope that steps can be taken to ensure that the Green Brigade are not dispersed and their contribution to the backing of our team is not lost.

Ill not be back at Celtic Park this season. An utter disgrace from the board AGAIN.

400 quid on a season ticket that I dont want refunded as theres too many games built up in it to just give up, so ill continue to use it to get my away tickets. Lawwell can shove the 400 quid up his *.

    disgusted.

At a time when we're struggling to get fans into the stadium as it is, this is a disastrous decision.

To be fair the club allowed the creation of a GB section; and the GB have been given ample warnings to better police themselves to ensure their behavior, for the most part, complies with club, league and Euro health and safety regulations. However, we must all hope that the door is not shut for reconciliation and, ideally, this will inspire the introduction of a safe standing area (ala Germany) in which some stuff is allowed.

I'm actually gutted by this because the atmosphere is now going to be completely dead like it was before the GB was formed, but I must admit, they have been warned on numerous occasions. But that's not to say I've ever been against the GB

    Exactly!

We can bury our heads in the sand as much as we want but the reality is stacks of tickets unsold for Flag Day, putting fake attendances up to show face all last season and the club having to slash prices for the last 2 games of the season to get decent crowds.

That should be enough evidence for them not to do anything rash like alienate the GB who when all said and done are usually the best thing on show for league games!

Without them they will have to start giving free entry to entice many in if things go the way I suspect they will!

They may have allowed the section to go ahead, but I don't think they new what they were approving for some reason and in the same week they come out with this "new match day experience" they tell a section of the support their section will be closed? I'm very suspicious of that.

Lets hope it leads to safe standing, although that will not happen until after the commonwealth games, so that's at least two years away, if it will ever happen

Laughable statement again. Crowd surfing - stopped. Moshing - stopped. Lateral movement - get a grip. At the end of the day, the club were desperate to get rid of the group.
