Here is a quote straight from "the bill"
    "The offence will NOT:

    Stop peaceful preaching or proselytising.
    Restrict freedom of speech
Criminalise jokes and satire about religion or non-religious belief."
Hypocrisy at it's finest from the government ashamed to say I once supported the SNP as well

I'm an embarrassment because I care that my club was being shown in a bad light to the rest of the world? Aye very good point. If you're going to reply at least come up with a decent response.

Funny how the rest of the world seems to love us then is it not?

Only huns, the MSM and handwringing Celtic fans seem to have the problem as far as I can see.

The type of comments you have made have been debated time and again on this thread by many, myself included. Feel free to have a look.

Well that's not true is it? Most clubs in England don't like us for it and it is because of incidents like those amung other reasons why we'll never be invited to the epl.

Most clubs in england don't like us?

Why are we down there every time one of them has a testimonial then?

Remember #celticnorwichfamily? (as cringey as it was)

And we just turned down Steve Gerrards testimonial because we have CL qualifiers.

Aye it certainly seems like they despise us down there.

Even if that was true, which it isn't (as shown by Sean above), why do you care?

We will never be invited to the EPL, not because of our fanbase, but because it is a lose lose for the clubs down there. The bigger sides don't want us because we'll eventually end up challenging them, the * ones don't want us because one of them will be relegated because of us. Our massive fanbase is one of the things that they WOULD want, clubs like Celtic who could fill their away allocation every single game, and not cause any bother. The desperation from so many to get into the EPL is misplaced anyway, how would you be able to travel to away games or anything like that (not that you go to the games often I wouldn't imagine), it would cost a fortune.

We are lauded in every country we visit, England included, but in Scotland we are treated like scum. Something doesn't quite add up.

So as a fan you say no one is forcing you to buy one.
As a player you think they should not be given the choice because the rest of Britain wear them.

    100% :50:

I am not defending the police at all because it is absurd that my tax money is going towards winding up ultra football groups. This would be my attitude regardless of the football team involved.

But I was thinking to myself as I looked at these pictures posted on here. If this was a group of Rangers fans penned in by the police, would people on here be attacking the police and protecting the rights of the rangers fan to protest? I sense not. They would be point scoring about how those rangers fans cause trouble. If Rangers fans flew a contentious banner with a spelling mistake the same people would be * themselves laughing at the "stupid huns".

To me people just seem willing to support any group connected to celtic because they support the same team as they do. We have now got to a stage where both the GB and the police just seem to go out their way to bother the opposite group. The police should of course know better. The GB have kind of shot themselves in the foot a bit as after being at loggerheads with the board and other celtic fans over a lot of their banners and songs in the past, they are now looking for support.

    It is all very self-indulgent.

They were charged in the street because their protest was illegal. A bunch of young guys covering their faces and wearing hoodies getting together to protest against the police without permission is of course going to alert the police. No doubt the police were ridiculously heavy handed, but take celtic out of the equation and most people would concede that of course the police would be keen to break up any such meeting.

Two sides of the same coin eh Sween? :87:

Where your * analogy falls apart however is the huns have lots of previous for hooliganism and would probably deserve anything they got because they would be chanting sectarian racist bile.

I pray to * you don't suffer from vertigo as it could get quite scary way up there on your high horse.

FFS why does the poppy protest always get brought up? I didn't agree with it but I decided that if that was a view held by fans thats their right. Don't batter the GB with this argument every time there is a debate.Right now in our supposedly democratic country our supporters, not only the GB are being treated like criminals because they want to support the team. Some of the reports coming back from yesterday seem to show that far from keeping the peace the Police have antagonised and tried to goad peaceful citizens into reacting to their strongarm tactics.Well done to the marchers for not reacting and also to the people who videoed it for standing up to the intimidation. Lets back these bhoys and complain to your local MSP,MP,or councillor and get this sham of a bill retracted. Also it would be good if we could get CP filled and voiced the opinion of the vast majority of the Celtic support against this bill in front of the TV cameras.
