I think some on here should wait until UEFA come to a judgement on the 8th of Dec before putting their own spin on things we might be found not guilty of singing illicit chanting, then what?

It would suit a lot of people if we did get punished, it would give credit to the argument that we are as bad as the Huns.

    Let the people sing,

But if were found not guilty - which is very possible considering Blatter's opinion of our songs previously (the time he said he never heard any sectarian etc and said 'see no evil, hear no evil' - then that will truly show up what a pathetic situation the country is in.

It will show up the media, and of course the SNP. If it ultimately comes out from UEFA as 'not guilty' then that anti-celtic bill's dead. :50:

You may find blatter will be under pressure to look closely at the chants and side with authority on this after his embarassement last week ,he cant fall foul again can he ,i feel this will determine wot happens legal or ilegal regarding songs.

Im pretty sure FIFA will make their own decision on this. As per the Sion case, they wont give two * what any countries authorities think. They govern football.

And as Celtic have an almost impeccable reputation in world football, that will go in our favour. It will be very hard for FIFA/ UEFA to turn around now and punish us for behaviour that merited a fair play award in 2003.

In saying that, I do think there is work to do to ensure we keep our reputation intact.

I said I'd get back to you's so here goes....:celt_2:

I just don't think it will make a difference tbh, and today kind of proved that I feel as nothing said this past week had an effect on our song sheet.

Petulant? Aye you're probably right, just annoyed at some of the coverage our support has been given this week. I said the other day that Lennon should have taken a leaf out of MON's book when dealing with this issue and I stand by it.

No disrespect to NL but when it comes to the media he isn't in the same universe as MON.

MON was a master and NL is maybe a naive apprentice. :56:

Well that will be that then. One day to get it right.

Good to see you have given it every opportunity then.

Considering Ireland still has an oppressive force occupying them to this day then I would have to say no.

That's a little wide of the mark.

We had a great atmosphere in the 90s considering what we were being subjected to, and the atmosphere during the 1998 season was incredible obviously so.

Martin also had the place rocking and WGS for a couple of seasons was brilliant.

I'm going to start up a new supporters group. It's called 'Celts in Denial'.

    * me. I sat and spoke to a father and a son tonight. Both of them are big Celtic fans.

The father tried to tell me that Neil Lennon becoming Celtic's manager was the trigger for the Green Brigade singing IRA songs. The fact that the Green Brigade started in 20006/2007 and Neil Lennon only became Celtic's manager in 2010 was obviously lost on him.

Then his son proceeded to tell me that the Green Brigade have never sang IRA songs or been involved in IRA chants.

How will we ever progress when people are walking around with their heads up their *?
