No Pad it was a rubbish performance from Celtic, but honest to * I thought Ki was a stand-out versus the others around him, I think your on your own with your comment on Ki.
I suppose it takes all kind, but really surprised you couldn't see what Ki contributed today.

the match thread was full of what has become the norm for this and other sites. I.E. no early goal then the comments bear little resemblance to what is actually happening. We created many chances today ,better finishing would have resulted in an easy win and a further increase in goal difference. This would therefore indicate that the team and tactics were generally right. We should be glad justice was eventually done and realise we do not have a divine right to get the breaks everytime. Good three points from a potential tough fixture.

Wish I could have your optimism man. I still feel we need to improve quite a bit, after watching our chemistry today. Didn't dominate play enough, but like you said we can't expect to everytime.

I know it's something of a cliche, but those really are the games you need to win if you want to win titles.

It looked like one of those games where the team could have played all day and not got a goal, and during the Mowbray era it's a game we simply would not have won.

All credit to the team for keeping at it and playing right up until the final whistle.

Hooper is turning out to be an inspired signing.

Costing just a shade over £2 million, 22 years old and what looks to me to be a green & white Kris Boyd in the making as far as having the knack of scoring goals.

The reaction of the crowd at the end said it all really. There's a group mentality at the club just now that is terrific, and I think we have to thank Neil Lennon for bringing that about.

He's putting his neck on the line for the club with every honest and from the heart remark he's making regarding the officials, and you can sense that the players would walk over hot coals for him.

He's still a bit naive when it comes to tactics and the like, but those can be learned in time.

The attitude he displays and the sheer unflinching demeanor he's showing in the face of an injustice we've seen in Scottish football for years can't be taught.

I can't think of anyone else i'd rather have at the head of my team, as he may get it wrong sometimes, but you always know he's giving it 100%.

    That's all I can ask.

i dont think anyone was great today

-keeper did what he had to do when called opon, well beaten with the volley
-wilson huffed and puffed but never found anyone with crosses
-big swede was too casual at times
-rogne done ok not too much to do
-emilo got up and down but not one of his better performances
-cha played out of postion and was obvious he is better used as a overlapping full back
-Juarez very workman like, didnt seem to want to win the 50/50 as much as st mirren players but got more involved in the second half, still very poor performance expect alot better for a player i have good hopes for.
-Ki wasnt his creative self passing wasnt as good as recent games only one real ball to get support of there seats
-maloney only really got himself involved late on. should be setting an example from 1st to last minute especailly when captain
-Stokes never got going didnt link play the way he has been
    - Hooper never held the ball up enough today but got the vital goal when it counted and thats what hes there for

    - Murphy won everything in the air changed the game giving us a different option
    - McGinn brought pace to the team also changed the game in our favour
-Paddy not his biggest fan although he is capable of moments of genuis and his quick feet were what we needed to unhinge a very stubbern & well organised defence

    aye except no a total * :p

I agree tho hes got a knack for being at the right place, right time. I like how after he messes up you can tell that hes trying hard to correct his errors.

That's the thing though, any player like that always has that reputation with opposing fans.

My comparison with Boyd was simply one of being in the right place at the right time.

I certainly hope we don't see him acting like a * away from the park like Boyd did :50:

I think that because we didn't score well before we did it turned into one of those games where you focus so much on what celtic weren't doing ... scoring a goal instead of realising what celtic did do in the match.

We did dominate, although possibly could have stamped our authority on the match a bit more. I think Juarez had a terrible game, either he has a terrible attitude or is simply down on confidence because he was not looking for the ball in the game. His counterpart in Ki was the opposite, he was looking for the ball didn't shy away from it, he tackled and harassed as best he could.

Ki wasn't his usual brilliant self with passing etc... although 2 or 3 passes today were simply out of this word, that through ball was simply... gerrard esque.

I thought the basis of the formation was fine but if McGinn had started instead of Cha then it could have been a bit more fluent.

Overall it wasn't enjoyable to watch simply because it was so tense and we were trying to get that elusive goal, we weren't on top form yet its good to know we can grind it out against teams with 10 men behind the ball and frankly credit to St.Mirren they defended very well.
I also realise i stated in the match thread we would not win then i was proved wrong and certain others... Marky liked to tell me this ^^, frankly im glad i was proved wrong and its a good sign that this team can prove against my doubts.

Good signs lads, keep the faith and onwards to a tough game against UTD next week.
