I think you'll find i picked out 3 players whi IMO should have been able to rip that team apart.(Ki, Juarez, Maloney) but failed to 'come onmto a game' until 10mins to go.

Where did i say "get a grip Ki"?

Nah mate dont need to watch it again....that was the worst Celtic game i have seen in the league all season....but if you enjoyed it the he ho!

serious malfunction today. It often looks like Lenny has the Mogga idea that a good passing game will always see you through - it doesnt. However, credit to Lenny that he shows some flexibility, brought on a target man, went more direct and went will three winger type players. My only criticism is that he took too long. I could see the need for Murphy and to go aerial by half time.

Im astonished at most of the comments here. Juarez was *? Watch the game again closely and actually observe Juarez's contribution. Sure he never had an outstanding match, far from it but he rarely put a foot wrong. He made a lot of simple passes and he actually did get forward and look for the pass on several occasions. He basically did what Ledley does every week and yet Ledley gets praised for being "quietly effective" and yet when Juarez has a solid game without doing anything game changing he's crap? I personally thought he did respectable given that he hasn't been playing regular football lately. It was a below par performance by the whole of the team with the exception of Ki who i thought got progressively better as the game wore on and the St Mirren players got tired. To target Juarez i think is unfair as he is clearly one of the more talented guys in the team.

We were very poor today - when Maloney doesn't hit form we really find it hard.

And what a change in Juarez - what's happened to the player that looked so confident at the start of the season?

Also not convinced at all by Cha in midfield.

Luckily Ki kept us together. That forward ball of his near the end was sheer brilliance - inch perfect.

At the death, it was once again up to the Derry Pele to unlock the defence - WHY OH WHY OH WHY does Lennon insist on only giving him about ten minutes on the park? With about 4 or 5 midfielders out, what does he have to do to get a game?

    As for the players

Passwmarks-Forster, Wilson, Iz, Ki, Maj, Rogne, Hooper and all three subs. Maloney played great when moved into the hole in the last 15 mins when we were piling on the pressure.

Failures today-Cha (pish), Juarez (cowardly/diving - dont like the guy), Stokes (not too bad but nor great), Maloney until last bit when he totally transformed.

    in detail

    Forster-solid-6
Wilson-played well, best RB at the club right now-7
    IZ-looks tremendous in attack-8
Rogne-Looks much more of a footballer than Jos-6.5
    Maj-mainly solid-7
Ki-has a wonderful range of passng but will need to improve his defensive awareness -8
Juarez-* and the way he pulled out that tackle sickened me. Also a diver. -3
Maloney double marked out the game for much of it and would have been a 4 but he was the man conducting our comback late on when he played inside-6
    Cha-a total imposter-3
Hooper-struggled for space and service most of the game but what a goal sniffer he is-6
Stokes-struggled for space, One of his poorer games-5
McGinn-I like this guy. Great impact sub.-6.5
Murphy. The only player at the club who can play target man when we need to be more direct when the tippy tappy passing game fails. Did very well when he came on - 7
McCourt-didnt do a lot but he did that moment of magic that mattered. Still seems odd the amount of FBs who are fulled by the simple move where he faints and goes onto his left foot before crossing-6

    Partnerships

CBs-Maj and Rogne seem our only solid pairing.
CM-Ki and Juarez are clearly not a good combo although that was mainly down to juarez who was rank.
CFs-The lack of anyone with hold-up and aerial ability among the usual Celtic CFs is a worry. Murphy can do that well although he is limited in other ways and really is not a guy who scores many from open play.

Is there anything better than watching Celtic score a last minute winner ? I * looooove it! :celt_2:

We were pretty poor but if you had offered me beforehand then I'd have bit your hand off - 3 points is the only thing which matters in a month where we have been poor throughout for years now.

I agree with the Hand - when Maloney struggles like he did today, we as a team struggle.

    Mon the Hoops!

There is only one answer to that and that is he has chronic severe stamina issues that mean that even 30 mins is seen as a lot for him. Its a great pity but its pretty clear that this has been the issue with the last 3 Celtic managers. Mind you, if he had great stamina as well as that talent he would be worth 20 million and wouldnt be at Celtic that is for sure. As it is he is a guy with 10/10 for talent and 1/10 for stamina and so probably will never be worth more than 1 million.

Mate, you are actually blind if you can't see that he has been consistantly excellent for us this season up until the last couple of games when his form has dropped!

Thought we were hopeless today, we don't seem to know what to do against a hard-working well-organised team. The team selection from Lenny was poor again with Cha starting on the wing ahead of McCourt or McGinn. The whole team was awful I thought with the whole back 4 just blasting the ball away far too often, especially Wilson! Juarez was totally ineffective as well so that explains why he's been left out recently. I also felt Hooper and Stokes didn't work hard enough up top which was very disappointing, they can't rest on their laurels. Overall, it was amazing to get the win when we played so poorly and we've got 2 home games coming up so it was a hugely significant result. Also, delighted with the fans at the minute silence, they were a credit to the club:50:

another thing, i am probably daryl murphy's biggest criticiser.

but today, he played quite well, the physical presence is there with him.

lenny got the subs spot on today.

Yes, for me this happens all the time. When he plays in the hole he looks a different player.

We also haven't learned from Tynecastle. Higdon was allowed all the time in the world to hit that long range shot off the bar
