McGeady should be dropped

McGeady should be dropped!! this lad was complete * last night. Hes got to be dropped for wee shaun at the weekend. maloney did more in 5 minutes than what mcgeady did in the whole time he was on the park. Mcgeady just doesnt have the mentality to be the player he could be. Its alright skinning the likes of kilmarnock but when it really matters who's got to do better.

 

he seemed to be too nervous.. we didnt play a sausage-and-bread-team. i can understand that, he is only about 20 and at old trafford, thats not nothing.

 

McGeady's been our beat player this season. So what if he disappeared a bit in the 2nd half, he's only 19-20. IMO it has to be Naka that makes way. Great goal but thats about all hes done all season.

 

Sorry but the lads been bigged up on this site since the season started, he had a bad game, so did most of the mildfield apart from lennon tbh. GIVE HIM A BREAK!!

This is the eternal bane of Celtic fans, someone makes a mistake, has a bad game and people start ripping into them! FFS!!

 

Think the night got to him and was a bit lost but still think his game so far this season has been pretty good...IMO think Maloney should have been brought on a bit sooner..

 

i know its his first game back but maloney was pretty quiet when he came on i think!?

 

Mcgeady will bounce back be sure of that!!....i would also drop Naka before i would drop Mcgeady

 

Maloney was excellent when he came on. He actually ran at them and no one could stop him. He was very good, held the ball and got out of some tight defensive situations.

This lad Maloney MUST be starting week in week out. He's by far one of, if not the, best players.

 

McGeady is 19 and Maloney is going on 24. McGeady will learn alot from last night even though he didnt play will. Maloney showed some nice touches but they amounted to nothing, like McGeady.

Both these players can be brilliant for us, and slating a kid after one match against one of the best sides in Europe is abit silly. Gravesen had a nightmare and you attack McGeady?

 

have to agree with the vulture here... lay off mcgeady... naka should make way for maloney for me on current form.

 

I am confident GS will take all things into consideration as to who plays against Dunfermline, its great to see Maloney back, and even world class players have off days.
As for Nakamura he is a star and certainly should be in the first team!

nakamura has fantastic ability.. and i think he has a part to play this season but IMO naka hasn't consistantly produced the level of performance that mcgeady has this season so if maloneys coming in it should be for naka.

 

there are no world class players in the spl.

 

Ok how does this sound, all players should play for their position, its good for them and good for the team, now McGeady was terrible last night, but he has been playing well and Maloney has been injured a longtime, and Nakamura is a star in my books, yet stars can dim now and again, so as time progresses, I am sure at any given game the best will be on the park.
to me its great having players like McGeady, Nakamura, and Maloney vying for a spot on the team, long may it continue!

 

You didnt specify so I thought you were referring to a world class player we had. My bad.

 

come on guys hes young but just think what he could be like in the future. you have to remeber that it was man unt that we played last night. maloney should have started though, also nakamura is a legend.

There are plenty of players out there that can perform at 18,19,20 so that's no excuse for the lad. I agree that he (McGeady) should be dropped for Maloney when he's fully fit.

Nakamura was one of our best players the other night, he didn't always go forward and his passing was such of Barry 'square baw' but he kept possesion and wasn't scared to take the ball around anyone. Naka will do better in the Champs League coz players are less likely to 'thump' him there than in the league.

I can't see WGS dropping Naka anyways so I think it's very likely going to be McGeady makin way for Maloney.

 

what a player the wee man would be if he just learned to pass the ball more. Its obvious he has the ability and the vision to make defence splitting passes from previous games i just wish he would do it more often and then people wont be on at him as much. If you ask me he is trying to hard to be like Jinky by trying to beat people again and again the only thing is he loses the ball more often than not where as the lord of the wing didnt. Cmon aiden pass the ball, your good but your no Jinky Jonstone.
