If our players play to full potential then we can get all 3 points, if not then who knows.

Boruc will be important for us, he has saved us so many times in the SPL and he has proven he can do it at the top level (World cup) so if he has a good game we will get at the very least a draw.

why is nakamura coming out in the papers tomorow and saying there is no hope for us and that it is to early. Is this mere mind games or is nakamura being a fvckin ignoran *!

if it is mind games then it's very smart, everybody is writing us off, including ourselves, whatever will we do....then BAM! nobody knows what hit them.I hope for our sake im right and moral isn't at such a low ebb

but what battles are you looking forward to?

wilson Vs giggs - i think the my look-a-like friend will do well,i have full confidence in him

gravesen vs carrick - he will rip his balls off carrick won't know what hit him

lennon Vs scholes/rooney - this is his world cup and he will stp up to the plate

nakamura Vs nobody - lets hope his play has some influence on the game.

mcgeady Vs Neville - dunno about this one. neville might have the measure of him or he might give him a rough ride, has to track neville's forward runs though

hessinlink Vs ferdinand - ferdinand should have him in his back pocket if we are being honest

It's all aboot that midfield battle i think if we can win that we have a chance and i for one think it is winable.Who says lennon and gravesen can't take on carrick and scholes? We have the ball retrievel skills that they would love to have and lennons ball retention stats wouldn't be to disimiliar to carrick.

I'm being realistic. Anything better than a 2-0 defeat is a result for us tomorrow night. No matter what you guys say, we don't expect to win this one, and the best thing we can do is give it our best shot, take a narrow defeat, and get on with focusing on the games that will decide whether or not we qualify (Benfica & Kopenhagen)

Of course, I really hope that I'm wrong and we can get something, and we should never admit defeat, as anythign can happen, but I'm being realistic, the most important thing is not o get gubbed and lose confidence.

I agree with 4-5-1, and I think someone else posted the line-up I'd go with

    Boruc

    Wilson Caldwell McManus Naylor

    Lennon

    McGeady Gravesen Jarosik Nakamura

    Vennegoor of Hesselink

Ronaldo's out for Man United, and I think that's hugely important. Rooney is a great player, but our weakness is being attacked down the flanks. We have some rock solid midfielders who will relish playing Rooney, not so many defenders like being ran at at pace like Ronaldo does.

    I'd imagine United will line-up

    Van der Sar

    Neville Ferdinand Brown Evra

    Carrick O'Shea

    Park Rooney Giggs

    Saha

At the weekend Everton packed the midfield, didn't allow Liverpool to spread the game about, and broke quickly. That's exactly what we have to do. The one massive worry is Saha's pace, but we just need to defend deep, and make sure Lennon has a big game stopping people playing in front of the centre backs.

    C'mon the hoops! :celt_2:

I dont know what it is, but ive really got a funny feeling about this game.. All this hype about Man Utd will beat us etc cannot be doing them any favours and I reckon with a bit of luck we can get a result here.
