Our strikers have all done well so far as the league stats show. So writing people off is silly.

I hope Izaguirre is fit as we need Ledley in the midfield, I dare say he's carried Brown at points this season.

We have quite a good squad with decent depth so we should be able to field a decent side on Sunday regardless of injuries.

And I criticised Lennon for buying too many midfielders!

And to the bhoys who are going up on Sunday; Tannadice is a quality stadium. Got fond memories of it.

he got an assist against hearts. Research before you start argueing with people. Nikica Jelavic has scored twice in the league and Murphy has scored twice in the league. Saying anyone can score a penalty, you clearly havent played a competitive game of football in your life where you get a penalty and you have to take it.

You started to insult someone because of what they think? Grow up

Quite simple. 1 assist 2 goals. no matter how little you rate a player who takes penaltys, it takes alot of balls to take one, and you dont seem to understand that.

the fact hes irish sways people? You get this impression because...

Did he not set up 2 against Hearts? Also put Samaras through for his goal that wrongly got chopped off.

Are you on the wind up or just stupid? John Hartson scored 88 goals in 146 games at Celtic, that is a truely outstanding record, and from what I remember he didnt take many from the spot..

What a strange thing to say

I get paid a weekly wage, and play in a stadium with over 10,000 capacity, lets leave it at that. So get your facts right before you go about flappng your gums. Ive taken penaltys before yes, and although its not that easy, its * right easier than scoring from open play.

Back on topic, Hooper and Stokes up front for me Sunday, and for the old firm

Stepping up to take the deciding penalty in a match takes balls.

Balls that in the last couple of years we haven't had (Robbie Keane apart); always good to have a penalty taker in the sqaud to rely on.

:50: fair enough, all i wanted you to say was that penaltys arnt easy.

I dont really see Hooper and Stokes working up top if the games get physical, its the games against Dundee Unt, Kilmarnock, Motherwell etc wer you might need a bit of physicality up front.

    --------------------------------Forster
    -----------Cha-------Danny (C)------Jos---------Izzy
    ---------------------------------Ledley
    --------------------Maloney---------------Forest--
    -------------------Hooper-----------------Stokes
    --------------------------------Murphy

I dont think this would work very well as a starting line up, however i think at some point Lenny will use this kind of set up if we need a goal in the last 30 minutes of a game.

As I said earlier in the thread, I have nothing against Murphy, and I think he is a good option to have on the bench along with Sammy, I just think the real goal machines in the side should be playing week in week out.

Its a nice problem to have nonetheless

Hooper and Stokes look like there developing a good understanding with each other. Both are more talented than just being goalscorers.

Could be our version of Yorke and Cole.
