I'm not a hater but im fed up with Brown - he isn't good enough. Yes he played a good pass against Utrecht - surely thats to be expected of him. Kayal has played more good passes in 2 games than Brown has in 2 years. Simply put his passing is *-awful.

+1 , good point here , all those managers , you would think they know a good footballer , or r they just as stupid as eachother , supposedly signing a "Embarresment" and all the other sorts of abuse brown gets

If they didn't like him, they wouldn't pick him for every game the guy's available now, would they?

Got to seriously wonder what it is most of them see that most of us can't see during games, maybe he goes 100% in training when everyone else has taken their foot off the gas slightly so he looks amazing?

I know Strachan liked players that trained hard, can't speak for the rest though.

yes but there is a distinct lack of alternatives at both club and international level.

Well, to be fair, since Lennon took over he's been our best player by far as well I suppose.

please...stop...this..! he has been nowhere near our best player! I hate this mentality in Scotland where if your gutsy and determined it makes you a good player. It's due to this mentality that the Scottish team is one of the worst in Europe. Even teams like Slovenia and Bosnia are better than us...

well said. As i mentioned earlier - people list grit, determination and dig as qualities from Scott Brown - any fan at Parkhead every week would also give dig, determination and grit - doesn't mean they are good footballers.

Anyone else notice the direct correlation between extroverted nationalists on this forum and the love of Scott Brown? Just a thought.

I don't think any foreign, or even Irish fan has so openly praised him as much as the fervent Scottish supporters do.

This season is the absolute last chance i'm giving him. Up to now he's been average at best and appalling the rest of the time

I don't think you'll find many that will agree he's been out best player by far, although he has improved, he's still been outshone by our other CM's most games.

Its a shame but some fans just wont accept when he has played well, I can promise you now, if Brown plays well for the next 6 games, very little will be said, if he has a bad game, that very same day we will see a massive thread on him with the title of 'Brown is *' or along them lines, at the end of the day, Brown gives 110% for the club, and is a regluar for Scotland and has been given the captains armband by Mowbray and Lennon, they see Scott Brown training every single day, do you really think Lennon would hand Scott Brown the captains armband if he was nothing more than a 'headless chicken'???

Couple of seasons ago he won POTY, he was injured last season for a long spell, this season he has started well imo, he is doing a very good job which has been acknowledged by Lennon many occasions.

Its a sad state of affairs when negative threads are getting made, when a player is doing well!!! :38:

nah it the opposite. Its the more Irish/republican obsessed element who see him as hundercover and wont give him a chance. Contrast this with the long time popularity of a poor player like OD or the constant threads about McCourt (despite 3 managers in a row relegating him to a bit part). Even threads like 'is Keane a Celtic legend' which is utter madness. At Celtic the kind of overdose and obsession about Ireland is a * of a lot more common than Scots patriotism. It seems a lot to me that for a lot of tims its Irish patriotism and nationalism=good, Scottish patriotism and nationalism=bad/not interested. Anyway, regarding Broony, the people in the game rate him and see his value.

You've not witnessed one of my Mulgrew posts then? It's got nothing to do with a player's nationality. It's about what they can do for the team.

It's true but I'd also point out that Keane and McCourt are brilliant players who deserve praise.
