Absolutely chuffed about this. He stood out on the wide right like a GAA corner forward and did sfa when he got the ball or blast it over the bar.

Has taken the sting out of last night Im that happy hes gone.

Relic from the Mowbray era of ideas that just don't work for Celtic.

Should perform much better down south, all the best to him there.

Eh? He held up the ball all right, but too often didn't have the intelligence to do the right thing with it. "Making things happen"? Like what? He is a striker who doesn't score goals (at least Heskey creates for others by having a decent footballing brain) and a winger who can't beat a man and can't put in a decent cross. I don't know why folk are defending him. I want the person who valued him at £3.4m to defend him and hear what he's got to say, because him and Mowbray should both be in the looney bin.

gave the ball away far too often. hopefully he is soon followed out the door by that other donkey Samaras.

no doubt we've made a huge loss on him but we had to get rid of him. who ever we bring in will score more goals than Fortune. it'd be pretty hard not to.

Samaras was competly outnumbered and didnt stand a chance, thats why Fortune' couldnt "make things happen". He can beat a man, thats a lot of peoples problem, they will base something on one game. He wasnt good last night, no body was, but he can beat a man, and he does hold up the ball, and he does look to create chances.

Im defending him because he has been unecessarily treated like * by most of our fans.

you're getting in a discussion with a guy who thinks fortune "holding the ball up" on the wing is a good thing.
who the * has ever heard of a winger holding the ball up. That's not their job. it's not their ROLE

Unbelievable. I'm 100% positive I'm not the only one who has rarely seen MAF make things happen. Evidence of beating a man? I've never seen it. I didn't see it last season and I certainly haven't seen it this season. If you truly believe that he's been unnecessarily treated by most fans on the back of the majority of his performances in the green and white, that's your prerogative mate, but I wholeheartedly disagree.
