Samaras is inept and doesn't hold the ball up. He slows down play and gives the ball away far too often.

    He is never a centre-forward

Defending starts from the front my friend. If we dont close down starting from the forwards then they fail. Then when we get the ball and the amount of times both these guys first touch was awful, didnt win the header in the air or received the ball and made an * of it was way too many times. if they hold the ball up well - we then can go on the attack, hence avoiding having to defend.

Fortune for me was more to blame as he looked like he couldnt give a * - dont know how anybody can say that guy tried his heart out last night.

sammy and maf were poor last night again along with 7 or 8 more, kayal for me would get a pass mark just, but for sammy his first touch is a pass to the other team and his second touch is a tackle, some on here said at least he tries hes gets paid to score and create chances not running around like a headless chicken yes he might get us the odd goal but the odd goal isnt good enough he needs to be getting goals wk in wk out which he doesnt.
What lennon sees in him i dont know maybe if hooper was fit sammy mightnt be in the team.
Maf is simpley is not good enough why lennon plays him on the wing i dont know is lennon saying that maf is a better player on the wing than maloney or mccourt i dont think so, even if lennon put him up front he still wouldnt be affected enough i would rate murphy more than maf and thats bad.
As said already all we have is our domestic campaign so we will probebly have to put up with these donkeys for the rest of the season

If you where to go through the post match posts, they seemed to be the escape goats and I for one couldn't understand it.

None of them were at fault, the whole team were poor. But we need our scapegoats somewhere.

:56:the conversation was quite good but I have to say I disagree with the point of the post. Marc Antoine Fortune and Georgios Samaras are 2 of the most spineless, gutless players i've ever had the misfortune of seeing in the hoops. I know that the whole team was a shambles but they were chief culprits in my opinion, no heart, no determination, they just look like they don't mind failing and they always seem to be the ones who can't produce the goods when the chips are down. Samaras jogging about with the effort of an asthmatic snail giving the thumbs up to each and every useless, wayward ball that flew over his locks. Then holding his head like a condemned man at every last thing that doesn't go his way. Fortune receiving possession and jogging along with no idea what to do with it. He just does not have the intelligence or heart for our club and how many times must we watch him get into promising positions and make the wrong decision?? I am glad to see the back of him and I hope Samaras is the next out the door, I can't stomach his pathetic antics anymore.

Samaras got passed to like 5 times, he had his back to the gial, was about 30 yards away with 5 players behind him and you wonder why he didnt score? Samaras isnt gutless at all, and hes someone who gives 100% everygame and doesnt give up.

Spot on! Though I did slate Sammy for his work ethic and bravery to hold the ball up.

I don't wonder why he didn't score, I know it's because he doesn't have the intelligence to try anything different and the rest of the team were atrocious. I've lost all patience with him, people are always saying "1 more chance for Sammy?" well his chances have run out, he has no heart, watch how he behaves on the pitch, he's nothing but an actress. If we keep him in the team we are preparing ourselves for failure because he loves to play the 'condemned man' card instead of doing something about it like a true winner would. Thankfully, Lenny appears well aware of this.

From the start of the game I noticed Samaras was a pathetic participant in the game, you see there are many times in fitba where its necessary that defense starts at the front, and that most certainly didnae happen.
Fortune I have never liked period, sure he has played a couple of half decent games but like Scott Brown he is not consistant near enough.
Fortune has two Charlie Chaplin splayed feet that cannot control a ball or shoot on target near good enough, I find it astounding that we signed him in the first place, and find it astounding anybody at WBA would want him on their team.
Last night another disaster as I saw it was Cha, he should have been taken off and Juarez put at right back.
Neil Lennon says he is responsible, and in my opinion thats an understatement, last season Mowbray had Celtic playing 6s and 7s, its my opinion Lennon has taken too * long and got us out of two European cups already, and our team is still not organized!

He seemed decent in the SPL. So your basing all this on one game? Unfortunatly we wont shell out for a Keane or something, so we need to make do with what we have. Im more then happy to keep him here.

Problem last night was that the players lost their nerve, I don't understand how they can't keep at least a little composure for an away game, this is especially true of European games. I don't think it was MAF's fault last night but the guy was one of the weakest links of our squad IMO. He had two okay league games this season, he still couldn't score for * to be honest (even with those performances). Thus I wont be sad to see him go.
