moneywise this result is a disaster for celtic with the huns pulling in another 12 million from the champions league this season the gap money wise will be closing yet again ,but tonight the team couldnt do the basics like hold on to the ball and pass to another celtic player ,i thought the lennon sub of taking a striker off and putting on a midfielder when we needed 2 goals was a strange choice i thought a defender should have came off with 20 mins left and just went for it .

 

cheers mate, i,m gutted as well but i,ll never turn my back on them. its a long season and i think eventually lenny will have them playing good football, win some silverware and go from there.

Possiby the worste Celtic performance I have ever seen apart from young forrest there wasn't one player who stood up to be counted.If each one played for the next ten years they wouldn't play that badly again.surely they can't play that badly again if they do I hope i'm not there to see it.gutted

 

i'm sick of these excuses. The board need to spend more on better players. Picking up players on the cheap and patting themselves on the back because they picked up a player for under 3m is just total *. We need to spend bigger and get top class players at the club. All this 'we don't want to go into debt' is wearing thin now. Celtic have money, they just want to keep hold of it. Plain and simple Mssrs Reid & Lawwell. Give us a team to be proud of or * off! This just isn't good enough for Celtic. Shows you the ambition of the club when they sit back and watch Bellamy sign for a * team like Cardiff.

being kicked out of europe is not good however it does lessen the pressure on all the new players for more focus on the league title which could put us in a stronger position next year

 

lennon took the blame but you could hear in the interview that he was actually saying that the players didnt do what he told them to do. but now he should show them that he wont settle for that * and drop a load of them for the next game. be ruthless lenny. even if you have to play a reserve team in the next game. those players tonight need a kick up the hole.

 

Absolutely embarrassing. I feel low. I know this team is better than those we've seen recently, but right now it's just an awful feeling.

 

Where are the Bhoys ? Too many foriegners..... They are taking out of Celtic because they wanted a lucrative Euro run !!! They play for money NOT for Celtic !!!! Celtic for the Celts !!!! Heave ho the foriegners INCLUDING the gutless saxons !!!!!!

I agree that if we have money we should spend it, but not going into debt will pay off. Sooner or later these clubs that are hundreds of millions in debt will have the piper at their door. Let's not get crazy.

those Two penalties in the first half the heads where down lights were out game was over

The calls for us to spend money is the wrong answer. We are a team in the SPL who get so little income from winning the league, tv rights etc. We simply cannot afford to spend top money on players in the current financial climat and for people to expect this is totally unrealistic. How can you expect us to sign players at 6m+ a pop when we barely get anywhere near that from tv rights etc?

 

a sad sad day!! if we had of went out of europe fightin fair enuff but come on lads where was the passion and the thunder tonight?? how can we have gotten so bad in a couple of short years. it wasnt too long ago we were beatin europes best!! i know this team needs time to gel and bond but wat killed me was lack of effort from players in general. you dont need to know each other well to try hard in a game. 4 nil away to hollands 7th best team. come on celtic we cant be that bad. im not one of these people who jumps down the lets get rid of lenny slide. he needs time but tonights performance is either an indication of how bad the spl league is or how limited our players are. really feel sorry for everyone who travelled to that game especially those on the saltmarket bus. we just seem to * our load as soon as we see a plane. europe over for another year its a sad situation when its the month of august sayin that
