    To answer the question...Not that long.

    I'm not on mains water, I get mine direct from the hills - untreated.

    Kinda helps keep you regular, if you get my drift + no chemicals.

    Does wonders for the HomeBrew & makes even a pretty cheap malt taste palatable.
