We don't appreciate Samaras enough!

Sammy isn't and never will be a clinical finisher for us, but he does bring other skills to the team (plus his goals to games ratio isn't too bad especially considering he hasn't always been played as an out and out striker)

It doesn't matter what he does a lot of fans have already made up their mind about him and are just actively waiting for him to make a mistake so they can have a go at him which I find very sad.

He's not the best player we've ever had, he is very inconsistent and can be very frustrating, but he's not as bad as some people make out.

 

I get the impression fans want him to * up at times just to have a moan at him

 

I think Sammys a great player, it's funny how in a few post match interviews (Pierre and Butcher) they have said that Sammy was the best player on the pitch.

hes 25, only cost us £1.2m and on his day he is unplayable. yes he is a bit frustrating at times but what player isnt? he had a great game again yesterday. most people he just wont please though. all i hear is he aint an out and out striker yet now we are hearing he is too gready ??? simple truth is most fans wont realise what we have in samaras until hes gone !!

we should start a talkceltic sammy fan club,just top * everybody aff who slate him for anything he does i.e the braga game people were shouting fae behind me that he shouldve been in the box for the 2nd goal not out wide but it was him hitting the * cross FFS

hes been a good player since we signed him. just people like yourself love to have a go at him. it doesnt matter what he does he will never please you. the abuse he takes from fans i wonder why he even bothers trying at all. never seen a player that takes so much unfair abuse from our support. hes the best attacking option in our team by far. if we lose him then im afraid we are done for..

Why the * are people complaining about the look on his face when he misses or a decision is given against him? Does this not show that he actually cares and wants to do his best at all times when he is on the pitch representing Celtic.

Is this "look" not better than that half hearted attempt at a "snarl" that big boy scott brown does when he tries to be hard as nails. Samaras' desire to do well and play football properly is there for all to see and i for one would love to see a host of other players in the squad to share this same desire

 

When he loses the ball and doesn't chase after it, or he goes down like a big wife on his *, gets no foul then does aw his hand gestures instead of getting up, chasing after the ball and looking like he actually cares.

 

absolutely bang on the money couldn't have put it better myself! its like when naka was here people used to moan he went missing in games and was only good at dead balls but when he left the standard of our football dropped dramatically

 

Now wgs has gone i think sammy is the next scapegoat......there are those in the team that are much worse.....
He plays on the wing because the manager wants him there and not in the box its not the players who pick where to play.

 

Samaras is actually one of the few strikers at the club who tracks back and does the dirty work, McDonald never did for example, and so you're saying you'd rather have someone who spent half the time down in his own half and penalty box rather than somebody up the top end of the pitch who can bring others into play and can actually run at defenders himself and keep hold of the ball? You're deluded my friend!

 

***You're simply nitpicking at the slightest of things to have a go at Samaras, it's not in a striker's job description to track all the way back every single time they lose the ball however Samaras actually does his fair share of tracking back
