Do you think we'll win the league?

I know things at Rangers seem bad because they've lost a couple of their best players and have a smaller squad and when you add that to the fact that they won't be signing many, it appears that we already have an advantage over them before the SPL kicks off.
However, we all know that Lennon has never managed a club for a full season before. To do your first season at a club with our expectations is a daunting task and there isn't much evidence to suggest that he'll be able withstand the pressure. Obviously he did well to win the last 8 games of last season but he did fail in the one game that could have lead to us winning a trophy (Ross County match). So how much patience will he be afforded? Even Martin O'Neill and Gordon Strachan (men with a lot of experience) got a lot of criticism and lack of patience from the support when things were going badly. I'm just wondering if Lennon will get more leeway if things start to get a bit bumpy, as they inevitably will.

I think we will win the league. But I don't think it will be easy. However I will support him till he is sacked or resigns

well mate good question, i for one do not accept that the league is in the bag
    far from it.
but if results dont go our way in the first half there will be gruntles from sections of our support and this alone could put more pressure on the management team

You're right, it won't be easy. I just have the feeling that some fans could be calling for his head if things don't go smoothly, quickly.

We need to give him time anyone would get things wrong in the first days of there job so I think giving the right amount of time we will have a very good manager on our hands

He'll get a fair bit more support than Mowbray if things go * up since he's fresher in the mind, lives and breathes Celtic and is a hero to us. I have a feeling he will be successful this season, he'll be a strong presence in the locker room and will fire the team up. You just need to look at the home leg against Braga for proof.

We're still suffering from the Mowbray season but if Lennon doesn't win against this Rangers team, then he isn't worthy of managing Celtic. Simple as that. We've twice as many players as them and we apparently still have plenty of cash to spend.

Only time will tell but it would be difficult not to win the League this season.

I dont think he will get time, he had a few months last season, this is a window of time and resposibility in its self, he has alot of inside knowledge of our club, if things go bellies up and if he does not hit the ground running there will be sections wanting to jump on the hammer blow band wagon

In the same wya they have a slight advantage as they have a team that Smith knows inside out whereas we are still learning our style and rhythm.
But Lennon imo, will be given more time, even if we are a few points behind. But jsut to be optimistic, I think Lenny will get it right.

Thats the worse thing for us, we addored him as a player now he's the manager we want him to do well, i hope everything goes alright for him if it doesn't and he love's celtic as much as he says, he should resign and hold his hand up and let a more experienced manager come in, that way we will remember him as a legend and a celtic fan.

seems they do have some money they have had a bid accepted for a forward of 3.5m so for people who think they have no money, may have to think again.....

The danger is if we're not top at any time during this tenure. Feasibly I can see at Christmas if there is a deficit of 3 points or more, the board getting tetchy....

Lets be honest, if Celtic were 3 points clear by Christmas, there would still be people moaning to get Lennon sacked.

saw it on SSN and TBH rangers have got what about 20 players at the moment? their looking at failing youth players such as that guy from Arsenal and their going to * 3.5mill on player when they should really be concentrating on spreading the money further to help squad depth 3.5 mill all on one player for them is got be their WHOLE budget near enough on one player.

not saying the league is ours but overall we gave greater strength in depth in the squad and considering the amount of games celtic and rangers should be playing say around what 50-60 games? their tiny squad will struggle badly and they have lost Boyd so they will struggle to make up for the loss of his goals in the rough riding games in the SPL were Boyd would save them.

like I mentioned in previous thread, TM's problem seem'd to be a lack of man management of all the players he was brining in and couldn't get players together, Lenny may not have the experience but he seems to have those qaulities that TM lacked which were vital to have when you want to make massive changes to anything look at the last 8 games and some of the preseason when we have fought back hard.

celtic are going to sign some qaulity when Mcgeady goes and then touch up the team if anything is needed in Jan while rangers won't be able to do sod all other then sell again.

there is going to be atleast 2 shock results there always is but Lenny will do fine i'm going to stick to what i've said from the start celtic to win the league by no less then 10 points

I think it's naive to think rangers will be weaker. IMO they will replace the players they have lost and are currently linked with quite a few. The striker they look like getting from Vienna is better quality than Boyd just remains to be seen if he can score as many.

Lenny will have to hit the ground running , The players he has bought have to prove themselves as there is enough mediocre in the squad at the moment .

I really don't think they will be bringing in much if any. If they do get 1 or 2 first team players we'll be in trouble.

Isn't it about time though we were able to forget about them and start playing well ourselves? I've not seen a *good* Celtic performance since the days of Strachan.

I think - and I hope - he gets the time he deserves. Lenny would die for our club and he deserves the maximum amount of support.
