I decided fairly late yesterday to go to the game last night. I'll admit i'm normally a TV fan as personal/work commitments make it very difficult for me to get through to Celtic Park to watch the games. I booked my tickets online and set off for Parkhead at 5.30pm. I arrived, parked my car and got to the stadium at 7:10pm.

I was then greeted with a line to pick up tickets which was almost a mile long! Didn't get into the game until half time. Waited over a * hour to pick up tickets. Absolute shambles. I also hear that loads of season ticket holders had to queue too because of issues with their books.

You would think that a massive club like Celtic would have this sorted. Feel really let down and dissapointed :31:

Tbh mate 7.10 is late to pick up tickets. The club did say tickets would be on sale up until kick off so queues were expected.

If I was booking tickets on-line I would do it no later than 5 days before, cos u mite got them in time via post and if u have to pick them up at the stadium, queus r expected which is a hassle! I would of asked them for half-price. I was saying to ma uncle I was glad he got them the day before!

i didn't get into the ground until 20 past 8 due to traffic at shawfield due to roadworks - noticed the queues stretching around then - thankfully my season card worked just fine and i got in. It was 1-0 when i was passing by the ticket booth at the back of the superstore - quite surprised people were still queueing to buy their tickets:56:

The queue wasn't to buy tickets - I could of bought a ticket and got in right away! (wish I had). The queue was to pick up PREPAID tickets. I.E ones booked online or on the phone.

Aye but if you were queing in the ticket office, then there would still have been people queing to buy tickets at same time mate.

I queued for almost 30 mins Tuesday afternoon.

i seen two long queues - not sure what either were for, one behind the superstore and one at the ticket office. Its a shame you missed the first half mate but its just one of those things.

According to the police and stewards, if you wanted to buy a ticket you could do so at the superstore. There were also quite a few ppl selling tickets at the gates for £32. Ok, £4 more but would of been better than queuing for 70 mins.

yeah i think the superstore and other Celtic stores (argyle st etc) sell tickets for most matches these days mate - better trying them next time perhaps

maybe you should have left earlier?

you can't expect to get in quickly at 7:10 if you're collecting tickets

Don't really see how this is Celtic fault?

As stated, 7:10 is late to pick tickets up for a 7:45 kick off and a cue isn't Celtic's fault either?

And where exactly is it stated that arriving 35 minutes before kick off is late to pick up tickets? Am I supposed to just expect there will be a massive queue and arrive 5 hours early or something?

Additionally, if I had arrived even 30 minutes earlier I still would of been considerably late into the game and had to wait.

    Tbh, I think you're taking the *.

there should've been more staff put on yes.
but those who all bought late had plenty of time to buy them before so blaming the t.o. if partly passing the blame
The blame is there to be shared not only that but don't they advise being in the stadium an hour early or something?
