I reckon if they go to £7million he'll be sold. I think that's the minimum price the board will accept for the likes of Hooper, Wanyama and Forster.
    £5million IS a good offer - that's a 150% mark-up. Can't complain too much and can understand their thinking.
But the minimum I would want is £8million.

Very disappointed with the leak to the press. If it was Hooper he should be disciplined though I expect it was his representatives.

I'd personally take 8mil for him.

Although I'm I right in saying Scunthorpe are on 20% of this??

If thats the case it would need to be 10mil.

offer not good enough, double it norwich as for hooper he needs to make his mind up if he wants to sign a new contract the last thing we need is players who dont want to be here.

£5million is insulting!! For them to even think we would sell our first choice striker for that little is a joke!

I've heard aswell they would be offering him wages of £30k a week. Surely we could give him £25k? Which in my opinion he deserves.

Almost as insulting to Celtic as the offer made by a former team made for Grant Holt.

    lol at 5 mill.

We've already rejected 7 for him ffs, does the Norwich Chief Exec not read any papers?

Bare minimum for Hoops is 9 mill.

As has been said, we sold Ki for 6 million when he was a bench player with only 6 months left until he was free, Hooper is a 1st choice starter, has 18 months to go, is English which puts a premium on him, is playing and scoring in the Champions League, and is * brilliant.

£5 mill is not a runner

Question has to be asked though, at what point would the money gained from Hooper sale further strengthen the team?

We would be very fortunate to replace his quality in the current january market for much less than what we would sell him for, so that's not a gain.

Who is out there that would realistically come to paradise for circa £20k a week that would be as good?

    I can think of many.

Get his new contract signed asap

£5m was a joke and their was never any chance we sell for that and imo if hooper does leave this window it will be for at least £8m and imo his agent will have said he could just run down his contract and sign a pre contract with some one next jan

I don't think he will stay.5million isn't an offer thats just cheek, they'll come back with 7 or 8 and I think he'll leave.I've huge belief that with the scouting system in place at Celtic we will probably already have replacements targeted.

A bit low. If there was a couple more millions on it i think it might have been accepted.
Would like him to stick around for the remaining champions league campaign but it doesn't sound too promising considering what was allegedly said.

Didn't realise he only had 1.5 years of his contract yet.

How hard is it to sign a contract getting you more money but also securing the club that gave you CL football a better fee like Wee Stan done? Get it signed Hooper and you can still leave in the summer if you want.

5 million is a chancers offer, we dont want or need to sell so the only offer I can see him going for is 7.5 - 9 million.
