murphy has never really played through the middle for sunderland always out wide and still outscored stokes. scored 6 goals in the championship last year which is better than stokes too. he aint skillfull and what link up are u talking about?? i take it u aint watched him much. and he is very one paced. and we wont sign him anyway so hes not worth talking about.

i think hooper is a better prospect, we need to focus on defence and goalkeeping situation now and if we get that sorted we can then come back to the offensive department and maybe go for a more high profile striker ie BELLAMY wae the funds fae McGeady's departure

When we start scoring goals then we can let our forward situaion go to bed, anyway im hopeful with hooper hopefully him and fortune will be a good match up front

 

Hibs players tend not to survive the step up to the OF. Stokes has already totally crashed and burned stepping up in England. Riordan is twice the player that Stokes is and he never made it with us. Stokes like many players has found his level at a decent SPL side. By all accounts too he is a bit of a nutter. i would be dissapointed if we bought him. If I was to raid an another SPL club its Dundee United who have several players of quality.

Stokes would score for fun for us. Riordan was different as he is a complete *.

Stokes can do well in the SPL and he's young enough to learn how to do it at a higher level.

Stokes would be fantastic here 2million would be a snip and gives us a goal machine that we badly lack and need , and a proven spl striker , 20/25 goals from him would win us the league , thats what we need ,

why not get killen back. he was a proven spl scorer. hes on a free. what about craig dargo?? another spl proven goalscorer. big john daly scored a few last year for dundee utd. what about him?? £2m for a striker that anybody could have had for nothing last summer?? glad ur not doing our books

Cause stokes spl record * allover Mc d's before he came here , Then Skippy went up a level due to better players around him and service and scored more goals , Stokes is better alround striker than Skippy ,and would Hammer Skippys goal return here ,

i think lenny has shown his intent by playing 4-2-3-1 in the last 3 friendlies, so if sammy goes, then murphy fortune rasmussen and hooper would be enough considering fortune and murphy could possibly play on a wing, i do like stokes but i dont think we'll be signing him anyway
