As much as i like McGeady, I think we should cash in. For all of his trickery, he has no end product. Take the money and use it to buy keane or Bellamy.

i dont think the goalscoring is a problem atm, i think we should put the money to a GK,CB and LB tbh, if he goes, which i hope he does

we need a bellamy or a keane. We have too many strikers in my opinion are not up to the job ie fortune, rasmussen and of what i have seen thus far i have my doubts about murphy. As we know a bellamy or keane on a permanent deal will all but guarantee us the league. Agree that we also need a CB and a LB though

Your living in a dream world a Bellamy or Keane wont sort out the problems we have with a gk and the worst defence going , Bellamy and Keane aint coming here get over it we can not afford the deal to buy either of them and fund there wages ,

We do have far too many strikers, but I think firstly we need a GK, LB & CB. Need to sell a striker or two and a few midfielders to make up some money.

i agree about keeper, maybe a bit of cover in rb, but i think that if hooiveld, rogne, misun continue playing the way they have at the weekend we'll be fine in the spl, since doesnt look 100% certain were going to be in europe, i think charlie will be fine once he is settled and filip twardzik looks really good he is good physically, mentaly and technically. Still think we need a 20-25 goal a season striker along with hooper, since we cant rely on george n forutne to score.

Fact is that whatever we get for mcgeady needs to be invested in the team - quality striker or other. We were promised a big name so i think a big name should be delivered.

if villa get something like 25-30 million for milner, we shouldn't accept a penny less than the 9.5 mill for mcgeady.

If Villa bid £8m and McGeady has his head turned and wants to go there won't be much we can do imo.

To pay the transfer fee is one thing. I reckon Manchester City could accept a bid for Bellamy if we puts up some millions.

But to finance a £60k-£70k wage paycheck in a 3-4 year deal (same length as Juárez, Hooper, Ledley, Kayal...) would be a serious gamble and burden we can't accept.

If you think that cashing in on McGeady would mean Bellamy or Keane the other way, you have no clue at all.

    We were promised *.

    Don't make up things.

like I said on the other thread, if villa get 25-30 mill for milner, we shouldn't accept a penny less than the 9.5 mill spartak are offering because we will know villa can afford it. McGeady might have his head turned but he has to realise he signed a long-term deal with us and players have their price, we would not be being unreasonable at all considering spartak have already offered that sum and let's face it, if we're stubborn about it and o'neill really wants mcgeady, he'll pay the going rate:50:
