if it was a bidding war i would agree, but, we're no gonna get more than £9.5 mil for him. in my opinion ,this is our best offer.

I'm not too bothered about losing him, i just hope he goes to the club who pay the highest amount so that we can benefit. I know that may sound selfish but he's not performed in the past 2 seasons and it's about time we cashed in on him to improve other areas of the team which badly need improving ie the goalkeeping and defensive departments!

I think they know they don't need to match it as the player won't move to Russia....so a bid from another club he is willing to move to would be our best offer.

i'm sure michael owen didn't really wanna go to newcastle when they bid £17 mil , still, he was the clubs asset. unless some club match the bid for aiden , i'm not sute if he'll have an option. we wanna sell.

The player has the option. They dictate football.

the only way i can see him not going is if they don't meet his demands and they're minted. a good 18 months there and he can swan into england then like o'connor did. i think this will sway him as he's clearly desperate to leave.

They will clearly meet his demands. They will make him richer than his wildest dreams....but he won't go imo

A very naive viewpoint. See Boruc as case in point. We all spoke of his value etc but his contract was run down and he moved for a fairly nominal fee.

McGeady will not be forced to go to Russia. Imo he will reject their offer and will move to the EPL....for no more than £9m and on less wages (than a move to russia)

if they are daft enough to table 9.5 million then they will obv give him exactly what he wants wether it will be the reported £40,000 a week or more

Dont really want him to go , but for that type of money he has to go the club would be stupid if they turn it down then he does a Boruc lets his contract run down and sold for buttons , Boruc should have went after the euro's ,

Villa wont bid anything unti they sell milner to city. if milner stays mcgeady goes to russia. if milner goes mcgeady goes to villa for 7 million since MON says that is max he will offer. I believe he is overrated and we should sell him to spartak n give him 1million of the 9.5m to go

I'm sure the club must have accepted an offer if he is thinking about going over for a look

For £40K-a-week tax free, i'd hitchhike to Moscow and give * to the entire Kremlin!...I know what you mean tho, Villa would be my preference, but if Man City fail to sign Milner, then pucker-up Aiden!
