Obvious McGeady isn't ready for Wednesday, when he isn't match fitness at all. There's no hiding statements in that. Should he playing McGeady in a very important match just to show otherwise?

It's up to Aiden himself. He could go to Russia, or reject them (I haven't ruled that possibility out despite everyone seems to be sure he is off), and then wait for Aston Villa and a possible from them, accepting that he isn't guaranteed any transfer.

I'm sure that Lennon wants him to stay if he wants to do his job at Celtic. But he wants to go, and is ready to accept Russia, he's allowed to leave for this £9,5m. bid.

But just don't kidding ourself believing that Bellamy or Keane will come to Celtic, just because we earn some good money in the transfer fee.

Lennon wants a centre half, a left back and goalkeeper whatever McGeady goes or not, and I'm sure they have a short list of names they're already working on.
Any future signings isn't necessary depending on the sale of McGeady.

if we sold him today, i think we'd use the money but i don't see aiden being sold until late august which wouldn't give us the time to sign suitable replacements at the key positions. this team is about what we're going to see this fall

Like i said before...russia aint attractive (other than financially). Its the other side of the world, the weather can be very harsh, they train twice per day and its not 100% safe to freely travel about the country.
