I notice that the older heads/more established TC posters are showing a lot more wisdom.
in your humble opinion.

The others are in some sort of Lenny love in that is hard to understand when you pit the cold reality of his experience on the table.
The fatalistic bollicks that 'everyone is a gamble' is one of the most stupid arguements ever
so if we had picked an experienced manager we would have won the league or what???

Why are people so enthused by Lenny when as you point out they know very little about him as a manager. Its like hysteria with all sorts of mystic megs proclaiming the revolution and years of dominance. Normally when you claim stuff like that its because you have just gained some massive advantage. Appointing a manager with no serious experience against a guy who has won the SPL about 9 times, managed Rangers, Everton and Scotland etc is not an advantage. Its a self inflicted serious disadvantage. Anyway this has been a real eye opener.
Large amounts of our fans have not a rational bone in their body and this site has become depressing through an invasion of guys like that.
sorry if it depresses you.

are you writing next season off already then because of lenny.

some people on here seem as though they are * a hedgehog

It has been the attitude on here if you didn't back TM you weren't a true Celtic supporter,we have been split as fans for over 5 years now and the board had a great chance to unite us like when MON was appointed,a board with vision, now we have genuine fears and the board failed,so it is when fellow fans direct * at us for not backing the team??? which we do,but not blindly,I do hate fans who constantly shout and moan, but in the last few years I am now turning into that person or feel like it,because the standards and football has been * PISH,but will still be there no mater what, seen out the old board and will see out this * bunch of missfits.:31:

Well if truth hurts, then that is reality, because I think the board has let the fans and Celtic down, could have united us with a forward thinking appointment, but yet again they have proved wiser heads right.:38:so if I don't think it is good why the * put up happy waves,or is that too hard to compute:31:

well thats the problem with opinion, everyone's got one and everyone will always argue their case, thats life, some views are radical others conservative. The least you can do if arguing in a radical sense is to be more intelligent about how you go about it.

ps. smily faces are there to either be sarcastic or indicate a point or probably to provoke the reaction they want to prove their own point ^^ like i am doing now :D

I just ask how Rangers have a mega experienced guy on board and we have a novice. Simple as that.

It does concern me aswell ,like it or lump it Smith is a good Manager and basically what he has done with that club recently is amazing ,they are in dire straits at present and have been for a while now ,on the other hand Celtic bought for fun last season and we all know the outcome ,that was down to Smith by keeping the same team playing as a unit and didnt need to change style's to often and Celtic made it a lot easier for them aswell by the way Mowbray ripped that team to shreds .

Im not praising rangers in anyway but thats the brutal truth of it [my view anyway] and this is my main concern regarding Neil Lennon ,i know he will give his all for the club ,he is Celtic through and through but he will need to learn fast if he going to get one over Smith ,yes he has already won an old firm game but over a season is a different ball game ,im all for Lennon to pull it off and i back him because he is the main man now but i think a bit more thought should have been put into this decision after what happened last season ,thats my concern.

just because they appointed lennon doesnt mean they didnt put enough thought into it though, like reid said they went through a list of candidates and they kept coming back to lennon, and im still not sure that the board didnt inquire about other managers even though they said they didnt , wasnt there a story that we approached trappatoni but he declined.
At the end of the day all the players wanted lennon to get the job and so did the majority of the fans as previous polls on here suggest, so the board obliged but im CERTAIN they thought about alternatives also.

Im certain aswell they looked at a good few other managers before they opted for Lennon ,my opinion this time round is i would have preferred someone with plenty experience but im cautious with the appointment of Lennon because of the lack of ....

I think the reason they picked Lennon was because he was cheap. Plenty of better candidates out there but they cost too much money and they would want a sizeable transfer budget. Celtic can offer neither of those things so we get lumped with Lenny.:38:

sorry i didnt understand the comment.
i thought you wre saying the older/more established posters
on here were wiser than the newer ones:rolleyes:.

i also misunderstood
that you thought the people that are supporting
lenny's appointment havent got a rational bone in their bodies.

i think you might be depressing yourself.

are you writing next season off allready (again i ask you)

To be honest you need to realise we are playing in the SPL one of the most broke backwater leagues in the world. Attracting people to this league is phenomanally hard.

All they see of the SPL is bog holes like Fir Park and Rugby Park on the tele. Our teams getting gubbed in Europe, if it wasn't for Celtic and Rangers it would be an exact duplicate of the Irish and Welsh leagues.

Attracting people to that is not an easy thing to do.

Neil Lennon knows all about this league. He's a born winner and he will do everything possible to bring back the Celtic Family feeling. He's a leader.

You seem to have wrote next season as a goner before a balls been kicked. That's the kind of attitude I can't stand, it's not blind faith it's called support.

Everybody has the right to critize but it's the needless bile that's aimed at our own players (including our best players) is sickining.

I've got to ask, why were so many people wanting Mark Hughes, is it because he is a top class manager or because of the last team he managed?
Imo he didn't have the greatest record with Man City considering the money he had to spend and players he had at his disposal. I'd much rather have Lennon.

Because he's a big name. Some people just can't see by that to look at his actual qaulities as a manager, only place he really flourished was Blackburn and even at them he spent far more than he would get with Celtic.
