    look! celtic arent going to sign bellamy so time to give up the ghost on this! as ros says there we are looking at at least 5-7m for him then we have is wages which would be at least 80k a week? we wont do it simple as that lads. i wished to * we did but we have got rid of some big earners so why the * would celtic go and * all that money away on a 31 year old striker who seems to be getting injured freaquently?

    I dont think we will sign him either but did bellamy not say that he would join cardiff if they made the premiership - therefore they would have no way been able to put bellamy on 90k a week would they??

    How can you know that though? This rumour seems to have been gathering abit of pace again lately. If he came up here EVERYONE would love him and that could be enough to entice him, he already has loads of money from City.

    Found this in an interview with Bellamy in 2008 when he was at West Ham;

    "I know the chief executive Peter Lawwell very well. I've spoken to him and I know that he would like to have me there and I would like to go there one day."

    Although he did say in the interview that he didn't think Celtic could afford him but his valuation was much higher back then if Spurs are going to sign him for 3 million now? :rolleyes:

    Bellamy is not what we need IMO. We need a proven goal scorer who will score a lot of goals and stay fit for the full campaign. That is not Bellamy. Dodgy hamstrings with his pace and more of a creative player than a goal scorer

    The fact that Lpool have signed Cole - who was apparently Spurs' other main target - means Bellendme will almost certainly be off to White hart lane.

    City seem to be after balotelli- who would play in bellamys position, which might result in bellamy leaving city.
    However he won't be coming to us, he might sort of want to, we might love him to, but realisticly he won't want to. and we can't afford him.
