Brilliant Olic.

His work-rate is always fantastic but I wasn't convinced he was a prolific goalscorer. So far, in the Champions League - he's stood up and been counted.

 

Olić, very good player but he's a poor mans tevez /Rooney .

See there is Olic, a player plucked from Dinamo Zagreb as one who impressed against decent teams while with them. He then got a move to CSKA Moscow and then to Germany. Just shows you- we can invest in players from Croatia, Russia (if we can afford em) and Serbia and similar places- players just before their peak.

 

I wouldn't have said so. Perhaps his age is the only thing that reduces him when comparing those 3 players. In his absoloute prime atm like.

Kuyts got nothing on Olic. Olic is the hardest working player i've ever witnessed but he accually has ability aswell.

Harsh i agree technically kuyt has nothing on ollic but dirk always scores in the big european games which you will fins out on thursday. Dirk kuyt has scored in the third round champions league qualifier,group stages,last 16,quater final,semi-final and final of the champions league.

 

Do you feel he is Liverpool quality mate. Everytime i've watched Liverpool in the past few season which is mostly every game. Kuyt's lack of ability has outshone his stats are work rate. He like a bunch of Liverpool's team aint good enough.

I get asked this question quite frequently regarding Kuyt. I am a big kuyt fan because of his work-rate and he does perform and score in the big games. Also he is a fantastic character off the pitch. However i do think he plays far too much football he should be a squad player who plays in the big games or comes off the bench when we need a goal.

 

Kuyt is actually quite good technically. Him an Olic are in the same mould. I say this having seen him live- deployed as a RW he hustles all the time. Has an energy about him can show quick feet. He ain't a bad crosser either. I would say Olic is the left-sided equivalent with the main difference being Olic's pace and dribbling compared to Kuuys heading and strength. Both similar attitudes.Both can be wing/Striker

 

Because Giggs is so vastly overrated its unbelievable especially from Man U fans never mind football fans in general.
