A lot of people are questioning the fact its a friendly and against Rangers, saying they're terrible and slagging them off and calling them all sorts of names! Quite ironic really! Anyway, we're a huge club so should be playing games like this to raise money and our profile, and give fans on the other side of the world a chance to see us play.

You don't get friendlies anymore in football.
Call it the * Glasgow cup it that puts people more at ease!!!

That's why Scottish football is stuck in the dark ages, we've got to open it up & make it accessible for other fans.
It's the only good thing about it.

I'm all for it. But forget Boston, bring it to Toronto!

Re: Canada and alot of Celtic and Rangers fans.

I would hazard a guess, that Celtic and Rangers may have more support in Canada then any other club. Walk around the streets of Toronto and you will see alot of Celtic shirts about.

Did AC Milan and Juve not play in New York once because of the Italians there? I can see why it may never happen though. The problem is you may have people trying to injure each other before the season starts

Forget the players, I can only imagine what might happen in the stands. North America does not have anything close to the crowd control that Europe has.

why should we help them to get more money? This will be lucrative but we could do without the money more than rangers could. We should have nailed them january 2009 but have now given them 2 lifelines in terms of champs league so why are we going to give them yet more money

Can anyone see the potential problems of thousands of Huns roaming around Kennedy Country for an Old Firm game? I'm not an expert, but even I know that Boston is not a city known for liking the Rule Britannia pish, y'know?

bostoners are actually pretty classy, when the montreal canadians booed the american national anthem a few weeks back, the boston fans replied by giving a standing ovation for the canadian one

I can understand why all of you across the Atlantic are against this, but if this goes ahead, I am going to be spending a lot of money to get to Boston from Virginia for this!

Which is why they shouldn't be subjected to the likes of the Huns and their anti-Irish repetoire.

By all means, arrange a game there - maybe set up a promotion deal with the basketball Tims? - but don't bring the Hun. Imagine them hanging about the famine memorial?

They can hang on someone elses coat tails.

That was really awesome. I've never been a Bruins fan, but since that time I have a lot of respect for Boston and it's citizens.

But a 'Friendly Old Firm' more or less sounds to me like 'dry water' or 'hot ice'.

Too many uses of foul and abusive language on this thread. 'Old Frm' is a term they use to reap the benefit of associating themselves with us.

WE ARE NOT A JOINT PACKAGE!

The customary hun riot on the streets of Boston afterwards would damage us beyond belief.
