Friendly - with them? The thought makes me sick, frankly.

This isn't some Disneyfied circus act, and these games aren't for entertaining that kind of people.

I saw this mentioned on Facebook by the Boston CFC, and when I inquired was told that a lot of huns in Canada would probably come down for it. Not sure how I feel about it philosphically, however having made the trip over to see them, if they return the favour, yeah I'll go and take the whole family with me! I'm glad I bought 6 scarves, one for each of us...

There are a lot Celtic fans in the U.S.. There are definitely a lot more Celtic fans than Rangers fans here in the states. I'm sure most of the people that would turn up for the game would be supporting one half or the other, not just there for the entertainment value. I could be wrong though, lol

Are there a lot of huns in Canada? Any reason for this?

I find Celtic fans all over the world. If I want to see huns I have to go to Glasgow.

Canada is a huge multi-cultural country.
    Alot of scots.
Alot of Rangers and Celtic fans.
Ma da(rangers fan) took me into the rangers club in vancouver to see an OF game and i tried not to get too excited when we pumped them.

Hopefully not just to encourage rivalry and give the hoops a bad name on foreign shores. Old firms should be kept at home in my view, if they clash in any proper competition then fair enough, but not just for entertainment value as the risk is too great regarding our reputation abroad.
Some will see it to be an excuse to carry on the trait.

The whole notion of having a 'friendly' with 'them' is laughable to me. There is nothing 'friendly' about the way I feel towards those dirty *.

First thing that came into my head when I read about this? "Kerching!" What a money spinner it would be, but...

Can't see it happening. I also have my doubts about this story, not least because of the lack of quotes in the article, haven't even bothered to make up an "insider"

The fact that Celtic have sought to have an OF friendly abroad is enough to make you sick.

We're NEVER going to shake of the "O** F***" tag, or the "Guilty By Association" tag, as it's better known, if the board are * bent on getting together with the hun board then packaging our derby and selling it. It's bad enough that we are sought out by alcohol companys as part of a double sponsorship with them.

If it's benificial for Celtic & the supporters then why not.
We should never let rangers affect our decisions as a club or bringing Celtic to other fans to enjoy!

A friendly with them isn't a great idea imo. I know in Italy during pre season the Milan teams and Juve all play each other in the Trofeo Berlusconi but even those rivalries arent as big as us and the Huns and I would hate the thought of playing them in a friendly. If Celtic want American fans to see us in a big game try to organise a game against Real or Barca or Utd. Doubt this would be finalised anyway.
