I would play a regluar 4-4-2 formation, I would pester the board for 15m, im going to have to keep some * because I want a large squad so I can rotate if required.

(All this is dependent on Keane and if he goes back to Spurs which is very likely)

I would sell Mizuno, O'Dea, Loovens, Mick, Samaras and Zaluksa (surprise one but he might ship in 1.5m? Boruc is our first choice and from what ive seen Cervi seems a suitable replacment, no need for 3 keepers imo)

I would play the waiting game with McGeady I would hold out for a minimum 8m and if sold I would buy the following players...

Michael Chopra - Striker (3m?) Proven goalscorer at championship level and scored goals in prem for Sunderland, got 19 goals this season and will score a bag load of goals in spl, could form a very good partnership with Raz, Raz winning knock downs and Chopra being a real poacher.

Lee Wallace -left back, (3m?) Had a good season with Hearts, from what ive seen looks a decent left back who would certainly be an improvment from Naylor

Sol Campbell (free) Might raise a few eyebrows but I firmly belive he has one finall season left in him, would be a great tutor for Rogne and Thompson and could handle the big games for us, experience would be crucial and if Weir can do it in Scotland then Sol Campbell can.

Ross Mccormack (4m) (Winger/Striker I think) Would do everything in my power to bring him in, Loves Celtic so would show more fight and Passion than anyone on the field, very good player from what Ive seen, might have a bit of competition for his signature but surely if he loves Celtic we will the club he chooses.

I would not sign any of our current loan players, Braafield and Kamara would be sent back, might be tempted to get Kamara but still not 100% convinced. If we had any money left I would make a cheeky bid for Jimmy Bullard if Hull go down.
Maybe another 4m bid? Taking my total to 14m which is a pretty realistic target hopefully
Unlikely to even get 1 of these players but this set of players would bring the spl title home to Parkhead I am fully confident.

Senderos, Davies, O'Hara, Warnock, Scharner, Pedersen, Doyle- All will be playing Premiership football, no chance of them coming here.

Keane- 6mill....do one! if Birmingham bid 8mill for Mcgeady i dont see keane being available for 6!!!

Metzelder- At Real, no shortage of admirers and on massive wages. Nae chance.

Fabio Aurelio- More chance of signing fabio capello

Rosicky, M. Petrov, Adriano- Seriously have no chance of getting these players.

Seriously mate, youve missed the boat here! Try Mellberg, Boulahrouz, Engelaar, gomis, boka. Slightly more realistic!

I like this tread, but I hate it when people think we could get players like Adriano, Saha, Doyle, Soriscky and then pay nothing or as little as possible. Most of the platers you mentioned would not even consider a move to Scotland.

 

In: Fletcher, Stokes, Wallace, a decent full back and a good left back. Out with the left overs. Try to keep McGeady - but if we get a good transfer we would obviously sell him. Sell Boruc to get some more money. Buy some cheap and good players from Scotland. This team would be kind a cheap, but it depends on how much money we get; If we get a bigger cash injection then I would probably try to get one big name

Otherwise I would try to work it our youths and build a Scottish/Irish team with some foreign stars.

Would be tempted to buy just the one Centre Back to strengthen another position but I haven't seen enough of Hooiveld or Rogne yet to decide if they are good enough to be first pick Centre Back's.

 

Liverpool are tolt the need to bid at least 10 million for Elia mate.

 

Dont think people got my post, better break it down. Im not suggesting we buy all the players listed, it is a shortlist of players i would try to get if i was manager (hense top targets in bold). The title is YOUR THE MANAGER. So if i was manager i would go after my top targets and if refected i would move on.

I dont find it unreasonable to show ambition and the right salesman(lawell) might persuade a few suprise names to the club. If there is no transfer fee why not try ambitious bosman swoops?

I know Metzelder would probably laugh at our approach but we should approach him with a 30k offer and 3million signing on fee, if rejected move on.

As for Adriano, he is available so why not? No club would touch him for ages and he ended up back in Brazil (wages cant be that much higher than here)

As for Petrov and McCarthy (both love the club). Same applies to Doyle, he would sign but it would be down to the money men to get it right.

I thought Keane would never end up here (loan) but he did. I bet a return of MON could tempt a few better class players here and the bookies have him at 16/1

I get what you mean, and its obviously good to aim high but i think we should take this with a dose of realism.

Going down that route you could say: IF we offered this much, and gave them that much and IF we were in this league and had that manager then they MIGHT be tempted.

We need to face facts...we are a mediocre team at present, in a poor league with limited resources. Im all for aiming high, dont get me wrong, but we need to look at "attainable and sustainable" players and sadly, most of the names on that list are far from it.

2. Gylfi Sigurdssson from Reading would be my first choice think this boy is filled with potential and current ability, 15 league goals from centre mid says it all and is exactly what we need. Michael Bradley would be a good shout but he might be too much. I kill me to say it but we need somebody who does the Hartley job. I think we miss Hartley far more than we do Robson.
3. Would take the likes of Andrew Driver or Pedersen idealy
4. I would take Kamara. I also find it funny that we finally found a good partner in Rasmussen for McDonald and its when McDonald has left. I he was willing to come back then I'd take him Beckford would be worth a shout.

Theres relegated players that may be worth a look for us but we will probly get priced out. I would take the likes of Fletcher, McDonald and Bikey from Burnley. Belhadj and Marc Wilson from Pompey. Hunt and Bullard from Hull.

Loans I also think Tom Cleverly and Abel Tarbaat would be worth shouts for loans.
