With Lennon's comments about the board is he crawling to keep his job????
When these people have been smug and complacent about the huns debt,now we are in an utter mess and will see how bad we are at the end of this season,they are the ones who are holding us back and if they can't do the job do the decent thing and hand it over to someone who can.
Desmond and co must go!!!!!!!

 

There is no Roman Abrahmovic waiting in the wings for Celtic mate. I'm sure if there was someone wanting to plough silly money into Celtic, the current guys would gladly hand over the reigns.

Your right, the playing side is a mess, but that's down to the recently departed manager getting it wrong in the transfer market and coming up with baffling tactics and substitutions.

He came with a decent record and was probably the best we could get at the time, but unfortunately he mad a complete * of it.

As far as I'm concerned, the board gave Mowbray every backing they could this season and even threw in Robbie Keane to boot.

Desmond ploughed in millions of his own cash and under-wrote Lennoxtown, that's good enough for me.

Take it on the chin, we'll be back next year.

but saying desmond must go is a tad harsh here! i still think the board need to do nsomething big next year and to get the fans back tbh? if not then we could be in for another dire situation.especially if a another hopeless manager comes in ?

 

No I don't think he's crawling to the board, I think he just understands the situation Celtic are in.

As Ross said, DD has ploughed millions into Celtic, he has stated he would be willing to sell if someone came in with a plan that is best for Celtic, he doesn't want full control so until that person comes with the plan then DD is who we have.

It's not as though he's bleeding the club dry, the only dividend he gets is on preference shares some of which are reinvested into the club as part of the dividend re-investment scheme.

Celtic are not an attractive investment opportunity as there is no money to be made in Scottish football, so unless a diehard Celtic fan who happens to be a billionaire wants to give us a share of their money there wont be a queue of people lining up to buy his shares, especially in times of poor liquidity.

The board haven't been perfect, they've made some glaring errors but overall they've done what they see as best for Celtic the current season wouldn't have been half as bad as it was if the management team used the resources available to them better.

A lot of Celtic fans need to understand that we simply can't afford to spend millions on players anymore, and when we do it had better be the right players, it's not just the transfer money, it's attracting the players to the SPL and the paying of wages.

 

I really like Lennon and enjoyed watching the fightback which is something we were always hoping would happen under Mowbray.but I feel his comments and desperation for the job is the puppet material that board like

 

Where did you get your info on the millions that DD has put inot this club,I have been a share holder since the first issue and have never seen this in any report,they have been smug about the mess the huns were in instead of looking inwards,and as for your chin well had enough of that * to last me a lifetime,just look at our stadium today!!!!!!
