Plenty of top class CHs have no pace. Thomson is only 18 or 19. Plenty of time to work on using other strengths.

I only went for Kamara, Thompson, Rasmussen and Hinkel (I want Rogne & Hooiveld to stay aswell but they're not on the list) wouldn't be that bothered if any of the others left really.

    goalkeepers

I picked the 2 goalkeepers, and that is all, with ones that have just been bought and injured, well too early to make a jugement, the rest can go to * as far as I am concerned, and for prima donnas shouting back at the fans for that debacle, well, would have stripped the shirts off them for good and told never to cross our door again???? and these are supposed to be Celtic men and fans, never would Jock Stein have stood for that, fans are the life and blood of this great club,if it were me,would have booted that wee * mc gready up the *,wee * witt

this bar aiden, and as for keane if we somehow had the cash it should be invested in other areas imo, we cant just have a luxury player due to all the needs we have

After what happened on Saturday I know detachment is perhaps not wanted here, but some of the responses here (ie, keep 4 players and the rest can * off) are silly. Before you ask the question of who you would keep you have to ask the question of what you intend on doing over the next 2 years. If the answer is winning the Campions League, we need to ship out the whole squad and bid for Fabregas: this obviously is an unachievable aim. So we set the bar at re-establishing domestic dominance and bringing a bit of structure, pride and fight into the dressing room. For that, the most important signing will be the manager. With a good manager in place, who can get the best out of this side and develop a set-up capable of grining out results and winning away from home, this is who I would keep. As I said, this is not based on this season, but on potential to be domestically dominanat and being realistic enough to accept we don't have the cash to replace the hole first team.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Boruc - would love to keep, great keeper and chaacter.<o:p></o:p>
    Zaluska - very tidy cover.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Braahfield - looks very poor defensively. Albeit not given a chance to function in a functioning side but not enough for me. Let go.<o:p></o:p>
Naylor - never a first choice left back. Would keep him if no decent money as cover but wouldn't be sad to see him leave. Depends on offers coming in. Also depends on Misun's development and fitness.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Hooiveld - not seen enough but would be daft to get rid of him due to bad injury run. Give him next season to prove himself, seems a charcter at least.<o:p></o:p>
O'Dea - not good enough, and seemingly a bad influence and a wee *. Send to the Championship.<o:p></o:p>
McManus - benefit in the experience and personality he would bring to the changing room. Negative in that he is a * defender. Again, would depend on what we were offered for him but would not be bad presence to have and cover in the squad.<o:p></o:p>
Thompson - not up to it. Slow and poor in the air for a big lad. Back to the reserves, he has not had an easy time in the first team to make his break through. Give him time to develop, but not optimistic he'll ever be first team class.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Hinkel - Keep, class and consistent operator, Big fan.<o:p></o:p>
Wilson - ok cover at left or right back. WOuldn't mind seeing him stay.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
McGeady - wee *. Increasingly hate him. But, also a force at this level. Up to the manager and the decision should hinge on how much was on offer and how bad his influence is on the dressing room. If the answer ot either of those questions is 'alot' then punt the wee *.<o:p></o:p>
Maloney - I like wee Shaun but he is a sicknote. Needs a judgement to be made by your medical staff as to whether you will ever get 30 games out of him. If not, either sell him on or re-negotiate his wages to a more pay-as-play set up.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Brown - keep: obviously has his flaws but could develop into a player under the right manager. His staying, gain, is dependant on his attitude in the dressing room. But as a footballer, he is good enough at this level to play in a championship winning side.<o:p></o:p>
N'Guemo - shocker on saturday but a good buy at 1.5 million. Still developing and could be a good, good signing. He is tidy and aggressive and an international idfielder, don't sniff at having that in your squad.<o:p></o:p>
Crossas - tough one. Depends on what we have to pay for him as he can be so poor at times. But he is useful at parkhead, on a decent pitch. If affordable, keep as cover.<o:p></o:p>
Ki - seems to be sliding out of the picture which is worrying. Needs to be brought back in next year and developed as he is a cracking player. Kept and cared fr properly next year or we are mssing a real chance.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
McCourt - keep, as no-one will offer much for him and he is good impact off the bench.<o:p></o:p>
McGinn - keep, but if McCarthy offers 1.5 million for him again i'd take it. Not bad wee player but not going to break through properly.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Sammy - tough one. I like him and his approach, he wants to do well here an dif managed and motivated properly i really believe he could do well here. In fact, in the last two years, he has done well here. Scored some goals and worked hard. Keep.<o:p></o:p>
MAF - defo keep. Good partner for another centre-forward and worker.<o:p></o:p>
Kamara - bit of a luxury and would be big outlay and big wages. Good player but not for me. Let go.<o:p></o:p>
Keane - obviously love to keep, won't stay. Whoever described Keane as a luxury player is having a laugh: since when was a goal a game a luxury? Best player in the country by a long, long way and been a privelege to see a player of his quality and decency in the hoops. Enjoy him while he is here, it'll be a while until you see one as good.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
That leaves you with much of the current squad, but I am of the opinion, as unpopular as it may be, that the personnel there are good enough to win in Scotland. They just need managed properly and a good system to work in. We are screaming out for: 2 centre halves, a LB and a centre forward to replace Keano. If McGeady goes, we need a replacement there, a player in the mould of Naka, a playmaker with good technique.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Major surgery not needed, just character and management. A key decision in who you sign should be their experience and their mentality. A big centre half in the Richard Dunne mould (obviously not him as he wouldn't come), but an experienced, respected physical centre-half, a solid enough LB (Danny Fox!!!) and a tidy centre forward and a decent set up and some * balls and we should be back on track, in Scotland at least.<o:p></o:p>

At 65 grand a week i would describe keane as a luxury player,N'Guemo constantly gives the ball away,Brown is an imposter he has never kicked a ball for celtic runs around like a headless chicken also has poor discipline.
samaras and MAF are wanna be wingers, who needs strikers that dont want to get in the penalty box,let mcgeady go elswhere if he gets a move to the EPL it will be intresting to see how well he does once the defenders have sussed his side-step trick.
I would only keep boruc and hinkel the rest are picking up easy wages!

so you are genuinely suggesting an overhaul of approximately 22 first team players this summer? Let me guess, to 'bring in some quality'? A ludicrous approach. Firstly, where are you getting the funds for this overhaul and secondly, how are you attracting this new team? Work with improving what you have, the WGS mantra, and add to areas that are weak this summer.

    You'll never walk alone
keane - would love to seeit but it's never gonna happen
hinkel - only positive this season his consistency
crosas - would keep him but he needs to impose himself more on games
ki - Needs more time to settle
mcgeady - time is up I feel good player who thinks he is better than what he is.
rasmussen - looked like he was the scorer we needed i'd keep him and play
maloney - I like but he is never fit would consider selling if money was right
naylor - only keep him if we can't sign Wallace from Hearts
thompson - started well but is struggling now needs to go to reserves
Boruc - class best keeper we have had oin many a year he MUST stay.
zaluskas - Good cover for Artur
    hooiveld - needs games
loovens - can go if we get a decent fee in, not good enough imho
mc manus - shaky start to season but harshly treated By mowbray would keep in hope he regains his best form

as for anyone I have missed they aren't fit to wear the jerseys we need a major overhaul or I fear next season will be much the same as this one.

I know alot of people have had a go at Big Mick but I would like to have him back. At the end of the day, despite some of his defensive shortcomings, the gives a S^%t. Which more then we can say for some of the lot.

As for McGeady, I suppose if you get a decent fee for him. I think a read at one point a club was lining up an offer of about 8mil-10mil. A very talented footballer, who just hasn't quite got there. This guy should be tearing the SPL another * week in and week out.
