Wheres Paddy. He hasnt appeared on the injured list or squad on BBC sport this last couple of fixtures.Seems to have been snapped training at Lennoxtown tho. Anyone shed any light on the wing wizards current status? There was talk he wouldnt sign a new contract as he wants to play football, maybe this is why?:31:

Maybe it's because we can't afford to have 30 minute luxury players who don't defend in our team at this particular moment in time

    edit; okay, cynical but...

He must be injured or coming back from injury. Lennon is a HUGE McCourt fan, so I can't imagine him leaving Paddy out if he was fully fit.

Would love to see McCourt getting a run, absolutely love the fella.

Patrick's body can't meet the physical demand of the modern day game, he's always picking up minor injuries. Not sure how, it's not from tracking back and tackling anyway.

As Dazza has said, we most likely can't afford to play such a luxury player under our circumstances.

I disagree nows definitely the time to play him. League is out of our hands so why isn't he given a chance to come in and show what he can do

Because Dundee United are 5 points behind us and we're not exactly steamrolling teams as it is so it would be silly to take risks

prefer McGinn myself - faster and less injury prone. He also has a good cross and shot on him and works far harder than mccourt

I don't know, it could be the three ridiculous goals he scored this year that grabbed my interest. Give him a chance under Lennon.

If there is one player i would love to succeed at Celtic its Paddy ,he cant defend ,he cant tackle ,but honestly is there a better player in that team running at player full pelt ,the guy is some talent and a rarity in todays game ,but his general fitness isnt good enough and he must be dealing with something bigger than just knocks ,i doubt he will hold down a first team place due to all this but he is a player awrite when he is on that park.

Rumour has it that Paddy's lungs are smaller than they should be, hence the reason his fitness is at a lower level than anyone else in the squad. He just can't get the oxygen into his lungs quick enough to be able to keep up with the physical demands of running for 90 minutes. :54:

paddy should be used as an impact sub if we are needing a goal, his dribbling ability can rip defences apart
