SW Corner Stewarding

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE AND CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB NEED TO ADDRESS IT!

I sit in Area 122, just infront of the Comrades. The Comrades were creating a good atmosphere in the Area and made up for the average performance on the pitch. However the stewards disrupted the atmosphere and completely transformed the mood and it became an angry dispute, with power crazy stewards. An innocent boy, was ejected from the stadium, wait for it, for singing. I would like to congratulate The Comrades for their contribution to the atmosphere and hope that POOR stewarding will not force them from the SW Corner. Also the Small Specky Antagonistic Steward deliberately sat on the stairs with his uneducated steward pals. Dare I say, blocking a fire escape route! Where as when i stood at the top of the stairs leading to the toilets etc. I was moved, as I was "blocking a fire exit".

Totally agree mate, just posted a thread on this there btw! lol. I sit in 123 just below the lads and it was utter shocking, there is no way " Specky Robosteward " can ever be involved in another match in that area.

 

I think the stewarding situation at CP needs to be looked at. There is a shocking lack of atmosphere at the games now and any group of people looking to create atmosphere should be welcomed.

 

We saw some shenanegins going on in the east side (I think) there was loads of booing. 3 guys up behind us in the lisbon lions were ejected. I noticed the stewards and the police were looking for a bit of action........must have been a slow day down the town or maybe A+E was too quiet.......or maybe they like filling out paperwork!

 

These stewards will cost the club money. If anyone is getting victimised for f all then how long before fans get fed up and just not go?

typical of these idiots! time to adress celtic fc about this and get them to explain why to exactly they employ these fuds.

I think Celtic themselves need to clarify why this is going on ,it obvious these Stewards are getting orders from someone to clamp down on "enjoying yourself" so who is it from ,its got to be Celtic.

 

I know someone who has been a steward at Parkhead for the past 16 seasons, it's meant to be if there is a health and safety issue or if rebel songs are being sung then they've to be stopped, however, some stewards take that to mean all singing but they are in the minority.

In these groups where they all stand together, including on the stairs, then that's what is probably interpreted as a health and safety issue.

 

I sit in 112 and seen the guy getting thrown out but dont no what for but i cant imagine it was for singing

 

im up in area 444 and people from that area are constantly getting taken by stewards, * knows why.

 

The majority of them are a * disgrace indeed. Mostly failed policeman who thrive on authority they don't get elsewhere in their * lifes. Lot of them Huns aswell.

 

Again we have been * on from great hight's from celtic, realistically i myself will be giving up my season ticket at the end of the season until this changed, I have walked out of celtic park 5 times this season all because of the awfull stewarding, enough's enough, by getting a season ticket next season & the stewarding remains the same i feel as if i'll just be wasting even more money than i have this season.

It's time for change BUT do celtic want change?

EDIT - no reason's given for the first lad to get chucked out but the stewards went up asking for tickets, the group was orginially to start in area 123 but due to space & broken seat's in 122 we opted for that, obviously we hadn't done our homework & just decided we'd stand there not knowing there'd be a problem as no one sits there obviously because there broken & if they were to be fixed i'm pretty sure our lads would be very quick in picking them up & making them ours.

 

I think they say that if fans are standing at their seats then its a health and safety issue. Dont see how. The Taylor Report was brought in so that everyone would have a seat to stop too many people getting in to the games and to stop crushing if areas got too overcrowded.

If people are standing at theirseat though then there is no health and safety issue. The are in their small area that there seat occupies.

 

It makes you wonder if the minority you speak of have ever been football fans. Fans are part of football and participate in the game like the players. We may as well take the Jock Stein quote away then from inside Celtic park. "Football without fans is nothing!" I realise it can't be an easy job but it would make sense to put more experienced stewards in this area who understand the game more.

 

We were singing and they put 4 stewards either side of us. the surrounding support was great in supporting us against the stewards, thank you. we were also escorted away from the stadium by two policewomen with horses. a guy told us that the steward in question has been reported so we'll see what happens from there
