Wouldn't really say Zurawski had much hype, also he did very well in his first season bearing in mind he played about 25 games, after that he never seemed bothered to be honest. I always thought Bobby Petta and Steven Pearson didn't live up to their hype. Oh and definitely Adam Virgo!

Have to agree totally although Gillespie was an even lower level of crap than the other two and that took some doing.

There's definitely something to be learned from all this - big name signings just don't work at Celtic more often than not. With a few exceptions of course. It seems players cope better without a big price tag hanging ominously over them.

It's all about identifying players with the right mentality mate. Neil Lennon, Chris Sutton and John Hartson all had big price tags hanging over their heads but because they were mentally strong they just took to playing for Celtic like ducks to water.

It's not the fee that's the problem it's the mentality of the player. This current Celtic team doesn't seem to have enough players with an iron will and the bottle required to play for a club where winning every week is demanded.

You would have thought with Gravesen's pedigree he would have destroyed in the middle of the park. For whatever reason it just didn't work out.

Then there's Deek. You can argue that WGS didn't give him a fair shake here, but the guy didn't do himself any favour. Alot of skillz but no * brain!.

Deek was lobbed because he's a smoker and pisshead, WGS gave him enough warnings before showing him the door.

Very true. As WGS apply described his training day "Last In, First out" Complete and utter waste of talent.
