I don't like Fortuné at all, I think he is to slow and not a Striker we need. Actually I would prefer Samaras before Fortuné, not that Samaras is good but because I know he can score some goals. I would try to get one or two strikers, Fletcher from Burnley? Stokes? Depends on how much money we get.

Far to inconsistent, plays most of his football outside the box etc.... Falls out of games far to easily, not for me... I think we would get £2M or under for Fortune!

i like him, although he does have a bit of trouble with his consistancy at times.

i think he plays better as a right winger for some reason, guess it really just depends on who his strike partner is. i seen flashes of brilliance from him and keane at times, but dont think he could do it with anyone else really. maybe rasmussen.

point i think im trying to make here, is i prefer fortune over samaras!

doubt he will be getting sold either, unless we bring in a few new attacks, as keane will be going back, as will kamara, unless bought of course, which would leave us with rasmussen, fortune and samaras as our main strikers. still think we need another 1 or maybe even 2 to be honest, not sure if mcgowan is quite ready to waltz into the team, and maloney is better on the wing imho.

I think the opposite on that Danni...

A target man would need a box type player to play on his shoulder, MAF is the opposite, I actually thought when he was brought in, he would be that type of player, who you could knock the ball into high or to feet, and he would bring the midfield into the game as well as his strike partner, but he has been the opposite.

A guy who plays most of his game out wide... Not the type of striker we need, and defs not the type of striker we have the luxury to have. We need 1st and foremost an organised side to compete with rangers, MAF doesnt ft into that. I agree with you, hopefully Ras comes good, as he is the type of player taht could play on the shoulder and is effective in the box.

If he is the type of player most hope he is, he could be the type of player who could play witha a target man and a player who drops off also, i.e. The Keane type!

But MAF for me, No... !!! offers far to little, and is not a natural winger either!

Doesnt have anough effect on the game and offers little threat in front of goal and in the air!

Have to agree with the majority so far, MAF just hasn't offered enough, needs more goals, needs to hold the ball better.....there have been some flashes and if we had the time and luxury I would like to see if the back room staff at Celtic can make something more consistent out of him....but as we don't have the luxury and will require money for change then get rid......

Another player who constantly frustrates similar to samaras, guilty of missing guilt edge chances. for me he has a poor first touch just dosent seem to have the bottle, has scored a few good goals over the season but nowhere near consistent enough, worked hard on saturday but has never really looked comfortable since he arrived, hope both he samaras are gone in summer, would like to see raz partenerd with a qaulity striker with guile and the ability to link up and get a decent goal tally.

Remember he was out for a good few weeks injured so didn't have the best start to his Celtic career.

I just find it unbelieveable that some people are saying his first touch is poor and he needs to hold the ball better, I think the complete opposite. Yes maybe he has been inconsistant but so has the rest of the team. Do we just get rid of everyone in the squad then and start again?

Then theres a chance we'll be in the exact same position this time next year.

We have a far better squad than Rangers at the minute, we just need the right manager to stick a rocket up their arses and get them playing as a team.

I think the opposite, we are far more likely to be in the exact same position next year if we don't see a lot of bags packed this summer and new ones arriving. I don't think a good few of our players are able to be motivated by any manger tbh, as Lenny said himself, a manager can only motivate a player so much, they have want to do it themselves as well. And that's not to mention many are just plain talentless.

If the squad isn't massively altered for next season, I think we will be up * creek.

I like him, like to see him out wide though , with rass and keane up front

12 goals from a striker that was injured for two months, and also "doesn't score goals" i thinks not bad

But we're risking too much change at once, the same that happened this season. I agree we have to bring in more players but I don't think we should be getting rid of the likes of Fortune and McGeady.

Fortune on the right, McGeady on the left, Keane and Ras up front. When Keane leaves at the end of the season I would be tempted to try Kamara up front. I quite like him, good pace and strength.

he plays similar to kamara and i think he should be playing out the wing. As soon as rass came on and fortune switched out to the wing he was a different player

i dont think hes a striker(doesnt score enough goals not enough of a threat up top) and i dont think hes good enough to play out wide tbh

He wouldnt be my favourite player tbh. I think he would be a good RM in the Kyut role. He could be a useful player i dont think he is right for us but its entirely up to the new man

I think one way we could make the best use of our striking resources is to play a front 3 spread out right across the park. Like this.........

    Samaras----------Rasmussen----------Fortune'

Obviously I'm looking ahead to next season with this because we still have Keano just now. Fortune' and Samaras both seem obsessed with drifting off into wide positions so playing this formation would allow them to spend a lot of time in those areas. Their main job would be to create chances for Rasmussen, chip in with a few goals here and there and keep the opposing full-backs hemmed in. Rasmussen would be the spearhead through the middle who's main task is just to put the ball in the net and hold the ball up for the other two.

It's just a theory but I think it has some potential.

Not good enough, would start Rasmussen before him.
    Definitely not worth the money.
