I agree. Sometimes I feel that his pace and acceleration lets him down but apart from that hes got the potential to become a great player.:50:

He's nothing like Mjallby. He is Rogne. People compare players too much on here who are nothing alike... Hooper and Carroll, Larsson and Dalglish, Larsson and Jinky, Rogne and Mjallby, Commons and Thompson :97:

Mjallby was a solid midfielder and defender and a good footballer.

Rogne if like anyone is more like Varga minus Vargas long range pinpoint passing ability and goalscoring but Rogne is good in the air and probably will score a fair few in the coming seasons.

Erm... its called comparing, the never say die attitude and the willingness to put his body in harms way reminds me of Mjallby im not saying he is a carbon copyas Mjallby had more pace and reading of the game (at an older age) so i dont see the significance of that post as im not making him out to be Mjallby 2.0

i think he showed us just how much he has to learn to reach his obvious potential, he was shocking today, looked lost without Maj

Was awful today but much of that was down to the fact hes just back from injury and doesnt have his match fitness or sharpness back yet, still a good defender imo and a good prospect for the future, we all know how good he can be.

It would have been a big ask for a seasoned pro to come in after months out and perform in a cup final, so I dont think we can be too harsh on the bhoy... TBH I was glad to see his name on the team sheet, but in hindsight glenda mite have been a better option.

Jelavic was bullying him imo and i think lenny was right to bring on loovens to be a bit more physical with him... rogne coudnt handle him today.

hes not been injured for months tho, he was injured for a couple weeks and has been fit for a little while, i know he can be good, but his inexperience showed at times, i have no doubt he will go onto to be a good defender, but imo, he shouldnt play with mulgrew, he needs a more experienced CB beside him

ridiculous comment, hes shown in previous games how good he can potentially be, footballer dont start brilliant, they need to nurture their talent, rogne is no different, he will be 1st choice at celtic eventually, im sure of it

Please please Lenny sort out our central defence problem, please make it your priority stabilise our central defence, dont allow the Board to throw you peanuts in order to try and resolve our glaring problem, you know the saying, you chuck peanuts, you only get a monkey. If I am totally honest, I don't have great confidence in any of the centre halfs we have on board at Celtic Park, compare them yourselves, do any of them come anywhere near the likes of Billy McNeil, George Connolly, Paul Elliot, Marc Reaper, Johan, Bobo, grrrrrrrrrrrr I could go on, and on. Lets build a steel spine to our team, lets build on strength combined with skill, and lets build from Goalkeeper, to Centre Halfs, to Striker(s). We have quality in our two first choice full backs, we have a young, excellent and very creative midfield. So please listen to us Board Members, please listen, because if a worldwide audience, can identify this problem in our team, then, why the * can't a Board of Directors see it. As a fan, as a supporter, as a fan who has supported through thick and thin, I want MY TEAM to be hammering everything in sight especially here in Scotland, I want them to win our Clubs respect back in Europe, and I want them to make Parkhead into a fortress again. So here is my shout, a Goalie (hopefully Westwood) two big bruisers, that can first and foremost, defend, and also know how to command their areas, how to protect our keeper, how to play the ball out to our midfield and strikers, instead of the big punt up the park, hoping for the best, instead of creating moves out of defensive play. Please Lenny fight to secure this for us, between us, the fans, and yourself, we aren't letting this club down, lets all rally, not behind, Neil Lennon, but shoulder to shoulder, with him, and tell this Board, what they can't obviously see, we are crying out for two not decent, but CLASS centre halfs, and a cracking keeper.

Wasnt the worst player on the park for us by a long chalk. Had a tough time against Jelavics constant throwing himself to the ground. Loovens didnt inspier anyone with confidence when he came on.

Overall a bad day at the office and Neil needs to regroup and rethink his team selections, because today didnt work

    Away and don't talk pish.

He's not played in weeks, neither has he played beside Mulgrew & it was his first cup final.

He had an absolute mare, granted but all he needs is to get his head down and get build up his confidence and he will be back to his best.

He is still far better than Loovens on his day and I feel that Loovens was a wasted sub today because he was no better than Rogne.

He had a horrible game today, but i dont blame him. Hes not played in weeks, hes not used to working with Mulgrew and works better with Maj and his experience. I feel bringing Glenda on made no difference whatsover though, hes not exactly any better.

He had a bad game today and expected a thread on here slated his overall performances. It is refreshing to see that the majority of posters can see beyond todays poor performance.
