Overall, we got what happens when you make 7 changes- a team of strangers. It really looked like Artmedia (similar team of strangers too that night) but we really played well for the last hour. We could easily have won this even after giving them a 3 goal start.

Boruc - continues to look shaky. Maybe put Zaluska back in
    Wilson - so-so
    Caddis - not impressed
Mick - shaky but showed good attitude
Loovens - really dr jeckel player-one of his bad nights
N'Gugemo - very goodm a real driving force
Crossas - best game in a celtic shirtm actually controlled the game and showed a much more positive and excellent range of passing
Flood - poor. His ceiling was Dundee United. Bad move for him.
Fourtune - very decent, very mobile. If he can finish like he has in the last 2 regularly then skippy is looking at a benching soon
McGinn - superb, clever and talented.
McGowan - despite goal and decent technique, he is too weak, slow and short to make it at Celtic level. Would do well in a small SPL team.

Exactly the same goes for Rapid.

Our defenders are a nightmare. Difference is, we don't have the money to buy new defenders. Our manager rightly took that * Dober off after 30 minutes, and the three others would've gone as well if we had someone to replace them.

Well, disappointing result for Rapid, but well deserved for Celtic. Great spirit.

WGS could see it and we tried and failed to bring in several decent CBs in his last couple of seasons. The bottom line is we wouldnt pay the fees and wages required so we got noone. Loovens was a cheap option that WGS clearly said he was not fussed on when we signed him.

id like to say on the loovens matter. ive seen him have 2 really bad games for us and the common denominator in those games... mcmanus. he played with loovens in the rangers game earlier on and tonight. mcmanus shouldnt wear a celtic shirt again. hes always been pish.

oh yeah, wot a fight back. i thought we deserved to win, for 70 mins we were the best team. well played fortune and mcginn. also i think we should stick with crosas and nguemo in CM cos they controlled the game tonight and we need someone with crosas passing range if we want to play good football

We can't afford not to. He's a world class goalie and to sell him away and watch him regain form would have all those calling for him to be benched or sold to say what an idiot Mowbray is. He'll be fine.

Tonight showed a good spirit even with a second strength team out. To come back from 3 goals down to get a draw in those conditions away from home is a good performance for any team, for that the team deserve credit.
Also for me it highlighted out of the back up players who played who have a future at celtic and who its time to move on for.
For me mcginn played very well he is direct and on another night might have had a few goals! With some more experiance and first team opportunities he could become a very good player for us. Fortune looks like a different player from the guy who came back against falkirk and dundee utd he seems to have turned the corner his movement and general play was good tonight also took his first goal well.
The downside was mcmanus was awful along with willo flood who was terrible and is totally out of his depth on the other hand our centre midfield looks to be a strong combo nguemo is excellent at what he does and crosas is getting better with each game his ball for 3rd goal was perfect and mcgowan finished well.

WOW!! What a game! I was actually dumbstruck watching the first 20 minutes. Everything that is bad about Celtic right now was on display in those first 20 minutes. Frighteningly bad defending. Frighteningly bad!!

Still, once we got ourselves together and started to play a bit of football things got better. Niall McGinn was the man who turned the tide. He gave us an outlet down that left wing and watching them substitute their RB in the first half brought back delightful memories of Bobby Petta and Fernando Ricksen(those were the days!)

Fortune'es goal was lovely. Well taken finish and I am so happy for the guy. He's starting to look like he's confident now and that augers well. There is definitely a player in there.

The second half we kept plugging away and got our just desserts in the end. I'd give a special mention to Marc Crosas in the second half, I thought he was really good and showed his composure on the ball and range of passing again.

In the end it's a creditable draw considering the team we had out. We really must take note of what happened in the first 20 minutes though. The centre-backs have to go and our midfielders must track runners better.

    Overall, a fair night's work.

mick played better than loovens. bad first error but didn't do terribly after that, the other 2 goals were pretty much down to loovens * up.

    hope both do better

Everyone gets a pass mark from me because this match meant * all, honestly some of you are treating it like a Champions League showdown when all it was was a run out. It was entertaining and that's all it needed to be.

Strange game today. Certainly plenty of entertainment and while nothing was on the line to come back from 3-0 down and dead and buried should be another good confidence booster. Fortune looked very good while Crosas was excellent. Crosas and N'Guemo who was very good also are looking like a very effective combination in central midfield. McGinn was outstanding and maybe just edges out Crosas as MOTM for me.

On the down side the biggest weakness in the team was there for all to see again as McManus and Loovens were shocking on the Rapid goals. Our center backs really are killing us. Without a doubt finding 2 quality center backs has to be the top priority for Mowbray. If we could get a big commanding center back in January even just one that could be the difference maker for us in terms of this seasons title.

Overall though credit where credit is due a lot or positives to take from todays game and the way we got the result sets us up well for this weekend at swinecastle.

I was thinking the exact same last night. What a difference 1 quality CB could be making to us. And to get 2 would just be unreal!

Special mention to McGinn and Fortune for last nights performance, both of whom looked that cut above everyone else (barring N'Guemo and Crosas who put in another workmanlike display, and in Crosas' case some telling excellent balls).

I also hope this puts to bed the notion that Caddis should be displacing Hinkel anytime soon. He had a decent game but didn't show either enough pace, delivery or defending to be anywhere near our man Andy.
