I quite like that but i'd rather have Watt as the central striker and a new decent left winger in.

A flat 4-3-3 wouldn't suit us imo. Put this on another thread but that's how I'd do it, would allow Commons to play & be effective and you can interchange Stokes/Griffiths for Watt/Pukki or whoever you prefer.

Not too far of that myself although its got to be Brown for Matthews but not opening that can of worms again :smiley-laughing002:. Agree to disagree on that one.

    Forster

    Lustig Ambrose v.Dijk Izzy

    Biton
    Brown. Johansen

    Watt. Pukki. Griffiths

Front 3 would be lightning. Very hard to leave Commons out but it Ronny favours a 4-3-3 formation I don't really see where he would fit into that

Commons would probably play as a false 9 in 433 he'd then have stokes and Griffiths either side.

Pukki, watt and balde will need to fight to play.. The three above in a false 9 formation would be our most effective and consistent.

Watt for Stokes and there's the first 3 we should be going with currently unless we sign a better striker than Griffiths or an attacking midfielder to replace Commons. Watt is the no.1 striker mate no matter what you believe or anyone else and Ronny will confirm that soon enough. He's better than both Stokes and Griffiths but because Griffiths is the best out of a bad bunch of strikers after Watt then he'll play alongside him.

    So.......---------------------Commons-------------------
    -----------------Griffiths-------------------Watt-----------

    Wrong.

That's YOUR opinion. This is a discussion forum based around opinions incase you haven't noticed, it's not your way or the high way as you seem to think:50:

It's getting a bit old now, we all know you love Watt.

Really difficult to call the forward positions in the team now. I think Pukki is a decent player with Watt, Stokes and Griffiths all at about the same level just a bit ahead of him. Don't see any hope for Balde at all unfortunately.

Would say Watt has the most potential. Stokes is a much better player than most give him credit for and Griffiths has done well and given himself an excellent platform t build on. Any 2 from this 3 would do a real job and it will be interesting to see if RD uses the two spots to generate internal competition or whether he manages to find a formation to fit all 3 in.

Regardless, I think this team should and will be built around Commons playing in the hole.

I would like to see Deila try going with Watt and Pukki too. Watt has a lot of potential out of all the Scottish forwards in the country. If he was playing for St. Johnstone last season I reckon he would have out-scored May. Pukki is a player I like, he works hard, but just need those goals to realy win us over, so want to see him given another go.
Stokes and Griffith are decent players and would be good options especially in the SPFL, but looking forwards I would like to see Deila/Collins try something different.

    Lustig Fraser VVD Robertson
    Brown Johansen/Henderson
    Forrest McGregor Mackay Steven
    Watt

Based on Deila and Collins saying they want to buy/develop Scottish talent, that would be my team. Think there is a lot of potential. But very RAW.

Drop Ambrose after he spent a full year making a great partnership at the back with Virgil?!

I'd like to see us try 3 at the back again.

Why the * fest for watt?! Stokes, commons, griff and to a lesser extent pukki have shown what they can do....watt has to prove himself at Celtic and should rightly be behind these players in the pecking order

I agree with you that they have been a good partnership, I just feel if we are looking ahead we have to try and bring through the youth. I think Fraser quite promising and could be/ if given a chance better than Ambrose.

But I guess you never know with young players, but I am quite excited with the management stating their preference for developing Scottish players.
