Well said gbtp67, some people really can't get a grip of how cyclic football is: <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p> </o:p>
Great team lots of happy fans lots of money<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    That teams needs refreshed <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    News player come in <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    Result aren't as great <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    fans get un happy <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
poor team hardly any fans (un happy)....not a great deal of money<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
The team starts to gel and gain confidence<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    the cycle repeats it self.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
Celtic and Rangers have quick cycles.....we could help by supporting the team when the cycle turns down again as it seems to be at the moment.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
The defence is Sh*t, we all have known this for a while. Strachan knew this too, but never replaced the centre backs. TM knows this.....he needs to replace the centre backs....heid not getting a contract?<o:p></o:p>

    Unaccepatable.

Why pair Sammi and fortune. Fortune dont know how to score and sammi was just fuking lazy today.

As soon as skippy came on he changed the game. He should be the first striker on the team sheet.

skippy done well when he came on but to concede 3 to falkirk is upsetting and as someone else pointed out,if they had've won it would've been a fair result

classic game of two halves; first would get football stopped second was great for the neutral though not us obviously.

a few things; letting in 3 goals to the worse team in the league when they have 7 first team players injured is shocking even if one of them was a penalty.

fortune was anon and * was he doing trying to beat the goalie at his near post when a pass leaves mcdonald a tap in!!??

no coincidence methinks between Falkirks 3 goals and McManus coming on

Fox was shocking this myth about his great deliverys should be put to bed; and he cant defend either; have we done the impossible and discovered the second lee naylor?

tbf the whole team was dreadful and i dont buy any excuses of a euro hangover; they were only in germany not * Kazachstan!!!

only player that comes out with credit is McDonald, was on for 25 minutes, 2 goals; good decison by Mogga to drop him at start though got his team/tactics badly wrong for first half, we did improve second half though once again our shoddy defence shows us up! if we play like that against Dundee United in 2 weeks we would be in for a humping!

    Rant over!! :31:

Disgrace. No one gets pass marks except Skippy. Tony Mowbray has never known success as a manager and I can't see that changing.

Shocking ! No fight, no spirit, no composure ! You have to earn the right to play football, by winning the fight, and Falkirk's reserves did that ! Never seen so many in the hoops who can't tackle ! And what's with this hump it up the pitch , long ball * ! Every pass Heid hit up the line landed on a Falkirk head. McManus and Caldwell have to go, we need CB's who have bollocks and can defend. You can slag off Fortune all you want but what is he supposed to do with service like that, and playing up front with a prat like Sammy, yes he tries but he is * useless. Hopefully that's the last we will see of Paddy "Super"McCourt as well. Had about 4 touches all day and they were all * ! McGinn is a far better player.

yeah i thought he looked a bit sinister :97:

i think he's lost that dressing room, they just dont seem to want to play for him at all.

if we sack him do we need to pay him his whole contract ?

I do blame the manager. The players have all played well and got accolades at times in the past. The problem seems to be the blend/tactics/how they are set up/morale. They may not be top class but that group of players individually are by far the best in the SPL. Is there a better goalie than Artur or Zaliska in the SPL? Is there a better RB than Hinkel? Is there a btter LB than Fox? Are there better wingers than Aidan, Shaun etc? Like it or not our CBs consist of 2 of thr 3 first choice Scotland CBs and a Dutch unternational. Only Boyd rivals Skippy as a poacher. I could go on. Its NOT the standard of player that is making us struggle at SPL level. Maybe they are at European level but why cant Mowbray get them to puch way above their weight in Europe like WGS did?

The answer is WGS knew what the limitations of the level of player we can afford and performed minor miracles by making up for that by setting them up in a certain ridgid way and playing a percentages game. Mowbray does not believe in ridgid systems and wants players to be free spirits. However, take the system away that squeezed maximum success out of limited players and you get today and many of our other performances recently.

Problem is to play open free flowing football this side needs to sign about 4 of 5 £5million+ players down the spine and pay them 1 million+ each in wages every year. With the exception of Brown, the board have barely burst through the 2.5 million mark in the last 8 or 9 years for a player so I think the idea that we will be able to hugely up the player level is unrealistic. If we aint going to up the player level a lot then its all down to the systems and getting the best out of what we have. That really worrys me with Mowbray. There are several teams in the SPL who seem to get more out of poorer players.

TM did not, I repeat did not get his tactics wrong !

He should have been able to field any 11 players out there and still get a result.

He has got a responsibility to make sure his players are motivated however. It used to be that that was not required by a manager of our great club either.

I know the buck stops with the Manager but the players need to start playing like a team.

mogga is not going to be sacked theres no use talking about it; i'm of the belief that there'd be no point sacking him; he's being left with a pile of * by Stachan (who has just lost his first two games with Boro i might add even though before they were doing ok) that needs an absolute gutting starting with heid and mick

Agreed mate. Whatever happened to 'Faithful, through and through'?

Ok, the linesman made a poor decision, but was that one decision the reason we lost? No. And indeed, the ref had a good game, the majority of the decisions spot on.

Credit to Falkirk. For a team at the foot of the table they had to play out of their skins to get something out of today & they did.

Now, having said all that, the inquest has to be about whats going on. We shouldve blitzed that one. Conceeding 3 goals to the bottom team in the division? Poor. The loss of Loovens at 1/2 time, saw the reunion of the chuckle brothers, and... well, we know the rest. The first half? Not exactly brilliant, was it? Sammy & Fortune - did they look like they were freaking out the Falkirk defence? Not at all. N'Guermo was invisible, a far cry from the Lennon-esque potential he was showing when he first came and think he should've been hooked instead of Robson. McCourt didnt seem overly involved, McGeady did ok, but there wasn't enough of it. Skippy being dropped by Australia & then left out today hurt his pride and he responded the best way a striker can - with goals. Hopefully its the kick up the * he needed.

Conclusion - the defence is in urgent need of attention. Of course, any player is entitled to a bad game here and there, but it is the alarming regularity with which calamity Heid & 'captain' Mick continue to ship... well... CB must be priority 1, come January 1.

    ...oh, and penalty practice !

Im not going to slag mowbray off as i respect the guy as a person but as a manager hes just not good enough for celtic, he wants to play football the right way and at west brom he played some good stuff and was able to lose games and the fans were happy with a few wins here and there. We need to be winning every game and were not going to start accepting draws and loses all of a sudden just because were playing nice football (which we aren't). The fact is we don't have players who can play nice football, we failed to string 3 or 4 passes together in the full game and almost everyone of our players 2nd touch is a tackle and when there is no options for them they punt it up the park in hope and that punt is mostly to fortune who is about 6ft 2 and doesnt jump for headers. I just can't beleive we payed money to get mowbray knowing he was a gamble.

well no danger of the board sacking him then lol

the board will leave it for the fans to hound them out like a bad smell
