This is how it feels to be Celtic
I must have been to hundreds of Celtic matches abroad and never seen our fans react like Rangers fans did.
I have seen trouble but in recent years I haven't witnessed any incidents such as you say concerning our support.

I will be honest. I watched the game online so wouldn't say I had the best view of the incident. I know how easy it is to criticise the muppetts from across the city. As they do have a bit of a history but the little bit I saw was about 12 guys down the front, then getting sprayed.

I also know it only takes a few idiots to tarnish everyone. So I do think it is a fine line we walk by saying how great we are and how bad they are.

Fair enough your looking at a non biased view ,so on that why does it always seem to be rangers fans at the fore front of any fighting ,anywhere they travel the locals will come out and say they are not welcome to come back ,,why is this ?.

    This is a genuine question.

Do you think that the majority of Rangers fans go to away games with the intent on causing trouble ?

or is it an element amongst them ?

In fairness, when fans clash with police I think it's very easy to say, "If you weren't looking for trouble, why would the police attack you?"

But personally, the question I would ask is, "If you weren't looking for trouble, why did you join the riot police in the first place?"

I think it's fair to say there's a significantly larger percentage of dangerous heidbangers in your average squad of riot police than your average squad of football fans.

Buuuut..... almost forgot to mention, we're talking about a particular group of fans here, who already have previous in Manchester, Osasuna, Tel Aviv etc - in fact going right back to the shame of their only ever appearance in a European final. Oh OK, maybe wasn't the police to blame. Must be those Chelsea fans again, eh...?

They EVEN managed to trash the joint in villarreal ffs! You couldn't get a sleepier wee town and nicer set of fans than them.

As stated before it ALWAYS seems to be THEM involved in trouble. ALWAYS.

Does'nt really matter if its the majority or an element to there support ,the fact is they are always caught up in trouble .

Why i say it does'nt matter if its the majority is ,rangers played it down when they rioted in Manchester and said it was an element of there support and minor clashes etc ,,there where thousands of them involved in that and we all seen the aftermath of the state they left the place in .

They have decent supporters aswell but i reckon they will have given up traveling abroad because the other lot are * bent in causing trouble ,they should be banned from traveling ,or at least ask the locals if they want them in there town ,most teams are made welcome and are welcomed back ,so why is this not the case with rangers ,we know the answer to that .

    Talk about jumping to conclusions.

From a personal point of view I have to question why this happened. Of course there are idiots in every set of fans. Just because a team has good/bad supporters doesn't mean they're always going to cause trouble or not. Scotland in Italy for example.

I reckon Rangers fans were reacting to treatment they were dished out. The part I did see was a guy kind of stumbling forward over chairs while shouting at stewards, they then proceeded to batter him with his knifestick/baton, which is totally uncalled for. It looked like a reaction over nothing.

According to Mr Bain, he's not amused about only having 2 turnstiles open for fans to get in. This then cause fans to push their way in, causing the police to react with CS Gas being sprayed. This supposedly set the atmosphere between the police/stewards and the huns last night.

The only reason everyone is jumping on the bandwagon right away is because they've got (recent) history of out of order fans.

Regarding the OP, it will always be that way as long as we are "The Old Firm". Some down south obviously can't separate the two. I really wish people like him could be made to explain their comments. I would love to hear why he doesn't want us down south. Maybe we cause trouble wherever we go, oh wait we don't. Maybe we fight with police and stewards, oh wait we don't. No more association by Old Firm.

obviously they aint gonna be happy with this happening to them, and ano your not personally defending them, so this isnt aimed at you mate, but rangers went over the top, throwing chairs at stewards n tht is just shameful, any chance they get to cause trouble they take it, but i say let it happen... they've no money, cant win in europe, gonna have to sell there squad and they have holligan fans, i hope they get a nice big fine from uefa :icon_mrgreen:
