Killen Should Play

I think it is time the manager gave Killen another run in the team,
as I think his physical presence and aerial ability would be invaluable
to the team. Especially getting on to the ends of crosses from McGeady,
McGinn and Maloney.

I think Killen would work better with McDonald than Sammy does, and I reckon Killen would give us that dominant focal point we need in the box, as Samaras tends to operate out on the flanks.

 

Agreed. Although as soon as Fortune'e is fit I'd have him and McDonald up front.

Sorry DV i just dont rate Killen at all ,he is mediocre at best.

 

if u think we should play him for height and heading ability why not stick loovens up top

 

I wouldn't be adverse to playing Killen and Samaras together
or even Killen and Fortune, but I don't think Samaras and McDonald works.

 

No chance. An average SPL striker. All he is and ever will be. And today i thought Skippy and Sammi did quite well up front together and both put in a much better work rate than they have in a while.

 

dont think he is the answer but after watching sammy meander around outside the box today he could be the better option.

Did you see when he went out wide right in the 2nd half today and stole the ball off the toe of mcginn? i think. we then have two guys out on the flank and big sammy looking to cross the ball into the box where he should have been, hopeless!

I honestly think Killen would do the job given a run in the league, Europe is another matter though.

Hes a tidy finisher, has the physical traits to be dominant in the air and can put himself about.

No chance. Killen is a carthorse with no pace, touch etc. We need quality in and Killen was never that. Two from MAF Sammy and The Fat Kangaroo until January. Killen ony if we lose two of the aforementioned.

He's not the greatest striker we have but most times he has played this season or in pre-season he has scored, must be worth a shot when we are seriously lacking when it comes to goals.

 

While this thread was meant to be serious, I can't help but laugh at the adjectives we have for our strikers at the moment. We have a "fat kangaroo" aussie who is always offside or misses a sitter, a harry greek man that does not even play his position proper, and a kiwi who has no pace and can't even score against the likes of Bahrain. At least Fortune will be back soon

 

He was the SPL top scorer before he came to us. I don't think we have given him enough of a chance in a good run of games to come out with rash judgments of the 'he's pish' kind.

 

Not for me thanks, i'd rather have an extra attacking midfielder on than killen. From what i've saw of him at celtic he'd be better off with another spl side, who's willing to give the guy a start in games & plenty of time to prove he can score.

 

I don't rate Killen and would rather we had a better option, but I don't think Skippy and Sammy work well together and for that reason only I'd give him a chance, but only until Fortuné was fit as then I'd have Fortuné and Skippy, or even Fortuné and Sammy if Skippy still couldn't find his shooting boots before putting Killen in.
