You do realise that all of our squad was back in training earlier than the likes of Tottenham? Big difference there

Were we embarrassed at Ibrox? We were beaten, conceded 2 stink goals but embarrassed? I dont think so.

Well he's still more qualified to manage a football team

My opinion isnt swayed by weak arguments and jealousy of what a average Celtic footballer earns.

    Goodnight :bbpd:

Exactly what I was thinking. We were the better team on Sunday so I fail to see how we were embarassed. :97:

In case you had'nt noticed, we're top of the league
As have Chelsea, Parma, Lokomotiv Moskow and A.C. Milan (at a neutral ground). * happens.
Adding together that we looked like the home team while playing away, should have had at least three penalties, and had more efforts on goal, I don't think there can be any sense of embarrasment about the overall performance. However, one or two individuals should feel that they have let themselves and the team down.
I do, but I doubt anyone will be singing about that come the end of the season, do you?

If we are giving Scott Brown 25k a week then all of the players should get that.......he's a passenger!

No way does that guy deserve 20 grand a week.

In my opinion none of them should be on crazy money like that but thats the way its went but one thing is for sure if we have to pay 20 grand a week to a player they should make sure he is worth (very few mistakes should be made and should be a consistent performer) that money every week and I don't think Caldwell is even close to being good enough to earn that size of wage.

Although he has had some good performances in his Celtic career mostly last season, he has made numerous mistakes, much more than he should and lets face it the guy is doing a job anyone of us would happily do for 5 grand a week and hes moaning trying to get as much as he can.

Let him go we have let bigger and better players go for this kind of behaviour.

i have been working down in london and have been going to a football games as ive got some free tickets through friends and i have been to watch reading twice where o'dea was prob the best player on the pitch. the goals they let in were certaintly not to do with o'dea who i thought looked outstanding

Are you trying to somehow excuse O'Dea for Leroy Lita's goal? He was clearly the player at fault and at fault for 2 goals in another match.

no it was a bad challenge for litas goal but it was made not far from the half way line. wat other goals is there> the one against watford was the keepers fault and he seems to be gettin blamed for middlesboroughs first goal which was clearly not o'deas man from the corner> it was readings captain who was picking up the goalscorer

spot on:50: let heid and his overblown ego stew; i would love it if he came back to form and proved himself worthy of such a contract but i dont see Lawell being so easily fooled; and i have a feeling that heid is going to dig his heels in.....no surrender from him so to speak! :87:

p.s forgive the rangers reference lol

If he had 3 decent seasons then he'd deserve it. But one good season out of three doesn't deserve the reward of 20k a week.

I suggest you go read some Reading forums, they dont argee with you.

O'Dea is not the saviour of our backline, he's an inexperienced version of McManus.

None of the * who play football are worth that amount a week. It has spiraled right out of control the wages involved in football, so has the ticket prices to watch 22 guys kicking a ball about!

Just as well you apologised :47:

I don't think any player deserves what they are paid, however, Caldwell deserves to be paid on a par with other senior members of the team.
