Time For Josh Thomson

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by doctor venglos, Oct 2, 2009.

  1. No he wasn't. Surely you are not going to slate O'Dea for one perceived mistake in a meaningless friendly, and forget all about the great performances he has made like in the San Siro and against Rangers in the CS Cup final. Get a grip mate FFS.

Caldwell and McManus have been making howlers and * ups
    for three seasons now.

I woulda liked to have seen O'Dea given a run in the team at CB, I dont think he ever let us down and had some brilliant performances in big games.

Dont know enough about Thomson yet tbh, but I think it would be crazy to throw him in now.

Should be given his chance, Demps.

We'll never know how he would do running a major world economy until we put him in there.

He got sidelined at the last U.S. elections cos he'd been out bevvyin with Aiden at Karbon.

I wouldn't throw Thompson into tomorrow, I think it would suicidal none of us have seen enough of him (if anything at all) to suggest that's he better that Mick or Heid.

As for O'Dea, whenever he's played I thought he was OK but not the superstar defender some people seem to think he is. I think it was good to get him signed up and then if he wasn't going to be TM's first choice sent out on loan so as we could see what he'd be like with a run of first team football.

I'm sure the Celtic scouts are regularly going to see how he's performing and reporting back on his performances

You're arguing that a teenage Stockport County defender, who you have never seen kick a ball in your life, who you hadn't even heard of until a few months ago, is a better option than three experienced international defenders.

And YOU are calling someone deluded?
