well i always get pes as i think its superior in every way! i even went and bought fifa 09 i had i think 2 weeks tops ! and traded it as i was soo bored with it! the gameplay is pure * tbh. so ill just be buying the pes 10 when it comes out much more enjoyable by a mile

 

if you can download the demo mate have a we go of it, ive been pes all my life but fifa got me this year, i used to think fifa was fake and unenjoyable, but honestly mate give it a try

 

iv heard about it mate! but demo`s dont normally give you the 100% gameplay action as its only a demo. i might get a shot of ma pals one when he gets it! and hae a wee look though. but its pes all the way for me. iv seen a little bit of it and it looks good! so here`s hopeing.

what about the teams and strips? are they licensed?

pes has improved mate, shooting is better i think, few nice wee tweaks they have made, usual teams like barca liverpool ect wi the strips done, i read somewhere tht the europa league is in this years game, so tht will be sweet.

 

By the way, and this is not a criticism of FIFA on the consoles, but FIFA on the PC seesm to be simply * again. My first impressions of the (full) game are it's an extremely slight improvement on last year.

Even the EA forums are rife with FIFA'ers saying how complete and utter garbage it is:

Meanwhile, the PES'ers seem to be mostly very happy with the PES demo:

So, considering even PES 2009 seems even now better than FIFA 2010, I can conclude that, for PC gamers anyway, PES 2010 is the definitive winner.

I'll leave the console boys to wage their own battle, but the war is over for another year on PC anyways..

 

It's because PC games don't sell since it's the most easily pirated platform out there.

 

Of course, 100% correct. For FIFA. It's also beacuse PC footie gaming is not as naturally suited as playing it on a console so it takes a bit of a back seat in development.

BUT...and it's a J-LO sized one...

PES seems to reverse the trend , though I'm sure it's not deliberate.

Last year PES 2009 was roundly slated by the community. But fling it on a PC, whack the dials up to 1920 x 1080 and, for me, you have the best playing experience by far on ANY platform. It looks gorgeous, runs like a dream and, with 4 mates hooked up to PS2 gamepads, is the perfect way to spend of an evening.

In other words, FIFA on the PC is treated like the lunatic cousin of the family whereas with Pro it's the daddy. And I don't have a clue why.

Playing the PES demo tonight, it is clear the above is true again this year. It looks pin * sharp and runs as smooth as baby oil off a female wrestler's *.

It's *.

It was the same with fighting games. I've been a gamer, mostly PCs, for near thirty years. Never a good PC fighting game. Then, for some reason, they not only port Streetfighter IV over to PC, they polish it up and make it probably THE definitive version. See Gears of War also.

But, it probably won't be fully appreciated becuse fighting games just aren't suited to a PC enviroment. That's why, with the aid of a 43" plasma and 4 PS2 pads hooked up to it, I've made it my business to make it so.

PC's are the best (technical) gaming platform available BUT consoles just now are getting 100% more development because of, as you say, piracy.

I'm one of them (pirates), but what do you do when games are simply too easy to get a hold of? I realise I'm killing my own industry, but why should I be moralistic when I know there is no way you can stop the technological juggernaut?

Anyways, FIFA on PC = *, PES on PC = very good

 

this is my opinion and i dont want brought into a debate..

judging by the pes demo it is no where near fifa in terms of gameplay. there is no denying that the pes players look more real-like but fifa is definetly the far superior game.

i cannot wait till friday to get fifa. its going to be awesome :icon_mrgreen:!
