Caddis is more than adequate replacemnet, I'd sell for the 4mill and get N'guemo on a permanent deal with the cash

:87:You could'nt spot a good footballer if he shot you in the * with a f*ckin bazooka m8. Bet you probably thought Sebo was the best player in the SPL. Hinkel is the best right back celtic have had in over a decade. He is much better player than Jackie McNamara... If hes so * answer this... Why is there so much interest from teams in better leagues and why is he a German international with 21 caps?:31:

Not anywhere near as good as Hinkel, except in the pace department. Hinkel is a better defender, tackler, passer and has a better final ball than Agathe imo.

And who's the cover if Caddis gets injured?

We'd have to be * mental to sell Hinkel right at the start of the season, just before a vital CL qualifier.

Aye awrite mate so I did. :87:

Hinkel's never as good as Jackie McNamara was. Jackie could actually tackle somebody and stop a winger getting his crosses in. Two things Hinkel fails to do frequently. Jackie could also REGULARLY put good dangerous crosses into the box. Hinkel's crossing is *. I've lost count of the number of times he gets in a good position then puts a useless wee daisycutter of a cross onto the boot of the nearest defender.

Maybe you should wonder why Seville were so keen to punt him for £1.9million and why none of the upper Premiership teams are sniffing about him. Because he's not that great will be yer answer.

He's an average player. If we get offered £4million for him we should snap it up.

They punted him because they had a £30 million right back at the time is the answer. He is quality, far better at right back than Jackie for me personally and has every attribute required other than a turn of pace which has only really been highlighted a couple of times due to the fact his positioning is spot on. To suggest his crossing is poor shows you how much nonsense you are spouting, he is the most accurate crosser of a ball Celtic have.

Caddis and Wilson are not in his league either and if we sell him I will be extremely dissapointed. I'd go so far as to say he'd be the 2nd or 3rd last player I'd sell from our entire squad.

Couldnt agree more with all of it mate, well said:50: Along with Boruc and just ahead of Broony he would be the player id hate to lose most. He is unbeliavble for the price we paid and cant wait to see him and Danny bombing it up the flanks and keeping wingers quiet.

Agathe is the best in teh last decade. Simlple, he was the best at tackling, trailing back, and takin his man. He jsut couldnt cross the baw.

I would be * off if the cashed in any of our top players, that is the Rangers mentality, Hinkel has been insparational of late, why sell!
Doubt he would go to Hull anyway

We're not in a position where we need to sell players, especially for the exact same amount that they came in for. We finally have two solid fullbacks in the squad, I don't want us to lose either of them.

He's definitely the best crosser we've got. 7 assists last year -- that's more than Aiden and Maloney if anyone is keeping track :86: and the first assist this year.

My only problem with him is his positioning at times (see @Dynamo when he misjudged it), but that's an issue that could be applied to * near every fullback in the world.

I'd still like to see Caddis find his way onto the pitch somehow though.

totally spot on mate. His crossing at times is woefully bad. His defending is terrible and at times he doesn't take the ball forward like the marauding full back would ahve u believe he was. As for his positioning, he has been caught out so many times. Just look at the rangers game last season be didn't have a clue where he was meant to be. He gets caught out with guys floating in behind him at the back post all the time.

Would defo let him go if the money is right. Caddis mite not be the cifnished article but he is no worse at defending and is better at going forward.

His crossing is * is it ? Did you not see the Dinamo game then ? Who was it that put the ball on Skippy's napper for his goal ? Solid, eager to support going forward and reliable, composed on the ball (unlike heidless chicken Wilson ! ) Caddis looks good but is not Hinkel standard yet !

    Agree to disagree bt...

Seville sold him coz they had Dani Alves ffs!

Jackie Mac was a good right back under Burns. As he got older, he became too slow and very rarly got up the field to cross the ball from the byline, his crosses were always from deep. Thts why Martin O'Neil Hardly played Jackie in his 1st few seasons and why he bought Agathe. Jackie could not shift Agathe and ended up playing Left side CB in a back 3 under O'Neill. As for Agathe, he was class when on top form but he was more of a Wing Back or Right Mid.

Hinkel runs the flank well, has good energy and genuine pace, can beat players and his crossing is actually good. agreed it looks unconventional and ugly at times, but its always into dangerous areas. He set up 2 against Dynamo ffs! Pinpoint cross for McDonald and a granted punt to Sammy, but he had the awareness to play it into a dangerous area. Hinkel was probably our player with the highest assist rate in the last 8-10 games last season. When we lost the league at Hibs, almost every chance was created by Hinkels crossing. Just coz our strikers were pish and to slow they could'nt get on the end of any of his crosses...

I personally would be gutted to see him leave. i like wee Caddis but hes not ready yet and if he gets injured, were *! And as for the £1.5m that the Daily Record are quoting to sell Hinkel... Has Mowbray lost it? hes worth well more than that. £3.5 - £4m at least.
