The return leg of our Champions League qualifier versus Dynamo Moscow is on Wednesday 5th August 2009. Kick off is 17:00 GMT.

The Russians match sharpness showed in the first match and although Celtic created chances, they failed to convert them. Hopefully we'll turn it around in the return leg and progress to the final qualifying round.

All match chat, score predictions and likely formations posted here please.

see some post on here saying we should throw in mccourt for the second half or last 30 mins etc. id throw him in at the start. get the attacking football going whilst were still in the tie. if we wait til the second half then me might be out before we can do much about it. plus its much harder to keep out a team for 90 mins than 45-30.
    boruc
    hinkel caldwell loovens fox
    n'guemo
    mcgeady maloney mccourt
    mcdonald fortune.

wouldnt have a problem with that to be honest especially if brown doesnt make it as tm said he felt we had 2 covering cm and we needed one to push forward and paddy showed against spurs he could do a job there

i would keep maloney out wide as he done more out there last week out there & i would go brown in the center to ensure we dont conceed again as brown will geve dig in the middle & will get foward & maybe when he begins to struggle bring on mccourt to take advantage of any space & create chances late on

    1) brown may not be fit to start.
    2) my point is we should be looking to create chances throughout the game from the start rather than leaving it to the last 30 mins or so when gaps might open up as we may be 2-0 down by then.

    see my point?

yeah i see your point the more we create the more chance we have but what am thinking is we will create chances with brown in the side & i think we could go out & loose the game early on if we go gung ho by playing 3 midfeilders that only go foward where as brown will go box to box & then when you get to the last 30mins if we are still one behing & have nothing to loose then throw him on & really go for it
but only if brown is fit otherwise i might change donati for mccourt or go fox in midfeild

:31::31: why does everyone on this forum love mizuno and mccourt to bits i have never seen any of them have a good 1st team game especially mizuno who was absolutely pish against rangers.i know mccourt had fitness problems but he seems to go missing in games 1 good run against spurs then * all

i think with mccourt alot has to do with the reserve game performances where he was very good & showed alot of close control.
& with mizuno i think people are just hoping he is the next naka

    Team to play against Moscow

Who do you think should start against Dinamo Moscow?

    I would say:

    1.Boruc

    2.Hinkel
    5.Caldwell(c)
    22.Loovens
    11.Fox

    46.McGeady
    6.N'Guemo
    17.Crosas
    13.Maloney

    9.Samaras
    7.McDonald

    Subs: 24.Zaluska, 3.Naylor, 8.S.Brown, 10.Fortune, 18.Donati, 33.Killen & 48.O'Dea.

Dont think Scott Brown would be fit enough to play a full 90mins, but could be a good sub to bring on for the last half hour, & I think Samaras the way he has played against Spurs & in the Second half against Sunderland today, deserves to be in ahead of Fortune, even when he came on against Moscow on Wednesday, he put himself about well. We need a strike force that can work togetheir from the start, Fortune could be handy to bring on later..

I don't think Samaras and McDonald together has worked real well in the past. Don't see your point.

Wel they have & they haven't but Samaras can hold the ball up & win flick ons in the air for McDonald to run on to, & Samaras is good at linking up with the Midfield, meaning McDonald can play up top as a goal porcher..

I think playing with only one central midfield player is not going to work. Dinamo would completely control the middle of the park.

Personally I'd rather see us play five in midfield, as Maloney and McGeady are both very much attacking players anyway.

samaras should be nowhere near the team when we have just spent the best part of £4 million on a guy who has played what 3 games?
