Simple , who is your greatest ever celtic player - poll to be added.

 

I voted Jinky ,i had the great priveledge of watching him when i was a boy the guy was simply brilliant ,he had the lot ,i know a lot of you are younger and have only ever seen him on tv etc but watching doing keepie uppy ,sitting on the ball ,nutmegging players for fun etc was amazing ,never have or dont expect to see another player like him ,,,how highly i rate him ,Ronaldo the 80 million pound wonder boy couldnt lace Jinkys boots .

 

i never had the privelege of seeing jinky in the flesh , so thats why i voted larsson.

Jim Craig in before Danny McGrain and Kenny Dalglish??

Instead of going for the more obvious names, my vote goes to Danny McGrain who IMO doesn't get nearly enough recognition.

 

Lubo Moravcik was my childhood hero. absolutly adore the guy.

 

Had to go with Larsson. I started following Celtic in middle school (thanks to living in the States lol) during the reign of the Larsson/Lennon/Petrov/Hartson/Sutton squad.

All 5 have become some of my favorites, but Larsson was a genius, great GREAT player. He was magic with the ball. So in all honesty, even though Jinky would be considered the greatest Celt of all time, it was way before my time.

 

I know Jinky won the official poll but it is always Henrik for me.

 

I would say Danny McGrain.

McGrain, Murdoch, Lennox and Dalglish should be in the poll instead of Craig, Lennon and Thompson.

i wasnt fortunate enough to see jinky live but ive seen him in videos, he was a class act, i votes for larsson because i seen him live many times and he was sublime, his goal scoring record was simply outstanding.

 

Why the * is Lennon included? He isn't even close.

Larsson. My dad grew up in the era of the Lisbon Lions and he still reckons Henke was the best.

 

So hard to pick just one, growing up Paul McStay was my idol and after reading about past players Tully was a player I would have loved to have seen live also McGrory was probably the best player of his era although I'd probably go with Jinky, with Henrik, McGrain and Lubo all coming close in the reckoning.
